Aether Datacenter is refusing connections

This is the Final Fantasy XIV experience, buy our game, enjoy endless connection woes as the company you gave your money to proceeds to ignore your sorry ass.

I would of figured that these companies would of learned from the Diablo 3 fiasco with connection errors but sadly it does not seem that anyone has. Then again they have our money so like they care til monday their time. Just imagine whats going to happen on Tuesday when the physical copies are all redeemed and they want to play as well. I guess we will be able to connect til... July.

What was the point of early access if we cant access anything, this is just dumb, thought they took precautions guess not

Right now they are making Blizzard look golden.

Atleast Blizzard aknowledges there's a problem when stuff like this happens. SE's been completely silent on this issue for 2 days other than a "There might be a little congestion, just keep trying."

Must be nice to have been logged in some off us who had to work havent been able to log in all night! How about giving us Free World Transfers because I'm over Aether being so compacted? Im not sure how people are still being able to come to these servers? I have been on Balmung since day 1 release and I'm ready to go to different Data Center! We have to wait in ques everyday even before Heavensward and also what is this going to be like on the 23rd when everyone else gets this!

lol, little my ass. They almost need to break Aether up, or at least put some of the popular servers on another DC instead of having 80% of the big servers on one spot.

There's a very small notice on the launcher about "Congestion" and that's it.

Yes, it is extremely frustrating. You and I paid money, the deal was we gave them our money early and they let us play early. No one told me that by giving them my money early I was actually enrolling in their beta tester program.

It's crap like this that makes me not buy a company's next game (ffxv), not saying I won't play it lol... I just won't buy it.

I am with you on all of this. I am not going to buy KH3 the FF7 remake or any other SE products as they are showing us that they alot like Konami and Capcom only want our money and they dont care about the product nor the people that helped create them. I was one of the few of my friends that still defended SE cause of great games like all the FF's 10 and before and Dragon Warrior and the Chrono games. But now I feel that I have been honestly betrayed by the company who is doing nothing to alleviate nor even speak about the quite obvious issues everyone is having.

6 pages on this thread alone. not a peep from SE. They only care m-F 9to5. "Sorry for the inconvenience"

Yeesh. I feel really bad for all the people who haven't been able to get in at all. Lucky enough to at least access the game for pretty extended periods of time...but not always. I've had consistent issues for several-hour periods multiple times during this early access launch myself. 2-3 hour periods of constant and consistent 2002 errors. I'm surprised there hasn't been much acknowledgement of the issue by Squeenix. Just seems like a pretty big blunder right now.

I guess I'll just go play something else. Bleugh.

For myself I have been trying since 630 PM CST and at time of this posting its 1241 AM CST. Nothing but 2002 and 5006 errors all evening. This is Error 93 all over again as I said earlier.

I love how rumors like this spawn like opportunistic infection. I'm sure people are working to fix the trouble.

I think it would also help if they designated the servers for people interested in just PVE or RP, like WoW did. Right now anyone who is interested in rping are being pointed to Balmung or Gilgamesh only, so those two are the servers being advertised the most around the internet. Offering free server transfers off those servers and putting their /own/ server designations on the servers might actually be a step toward solving he problem without buying a bunch of expensive new servers.

Problem with transfers (as far as I was told, still new at the game here) is any investment in housing and company housing is pretty much wasted. Unless those free transfers take care of all that gil and housing stuff. I was just told that transferring usually screws the player who made those investments more.

I never got to play the 2013 EA and this one is screwing up too.

It's not just Aether.
