It will just be a boring grind for DoW/DoM and it shifts the tiered HQ business (already in game) to a new area. It doesn't add anything. Materia adds nothing to crafting. But people just use materia as an excuse to justfy marginalising crafters even more.

To be fair, things like the Dodore Doublet is what he was asking for. Also from what I hear the doublet's only better on favored classes, otherwise there is better gear out there.

Well Yoshi, or was it one of the reps.... teased already that Couerls will be in 1.19 I believe (they didnt actually finish stating it lol) but it's to be a boss in a dungeon I think? Also I think they might save the Shahgin's for an expansion since they seem to live in an area not on our current map.

I dont think they are instanced, they might be like Aion strongholds, few areas around the zones with elite mobs and some bosses.

if anyone here played Aion, will know what i'm talking about.

Crafting should be marginalized. It's a means to generate income and a pass-time or filler during the lulls. This whole "crafters are a class too!!" business is hampering game progress.

Crafting has been abused so much that it needs a major hit so things can become balanced when PS3 is released. Crafters having 100 million gil and monopolizing markets is hurting this game.

If Zahar'ak means "like a rock" then what does "Zanr'ak" mean?

Lol I am surprised no one has done this yet, but.... Party goes into Zahar'ak, gets to the final boss and then "like a rock" starts playing and a chevrolet truck comes racing down at the players and then the Boss gets out and says "let's do this!"

(okay maybe a little dumb) but When I first saw "like a rock" I instantly thought of those chevrolet commercials lol

from the images, this stronghold look like an unfinished work,
I see no comparison to the strong hold of Castle Oztroja, Beadeaux, davoi, castle zvahl.

I remember my first experience in Castle Oztroja, it was surreal.
While these image just look like a copy and paste into a current area.

Then again we shall see.

I really hope they aren't just the same surrounding with a couple random doodads strewn about (like those beastman caravans(?) that hang around the landscape now).

open world.. if it was instanced they would have called it a raid.

dumb posts like this make games like this shit. do you realize how many people quit the game after the first day of buying it to never return? or how this game is populated by a complete niche community and damned by others? get real kid.

this game has serious issues with basic gameplay mechanics that need to be addressed more than income being put into content that a few thousand people per server can experience. boy that made them a lot of $$$.

When will people realize that better gear is always around the corner? There will always be better gear.

What matters most is that the content is challenging. I'm hoping the beast strongholds will leave us all better players.

TL;DR Stronghold's should of been in at release. They are working on a lot of projects. They implement projects as they are complete. I approve of the effort they put forth for us.

Oh and by the way, yes I have not made 1 feedback topic. Because I don't need to complain about a game that I am enjoying playing and know that they are working on fixing, i.e. I read all the dev tracker's and updates to keep informed of what project's they are working on. So I will wait patiently till they are done with their preproposed project's. Also the fact other people already started topic's I am interested in on improvement's and I post in them... but I am done arguing with you because it will get nobody anywhere.

thats all fair enough. i am a grammar nazi and cant stand when people over the age of 20 dont know how to properly use words. my error was due to lack of sleep and drugs as stated above. plus, i am typing pretty quickly. being a bored insomniac with crohns isnt all fun and games..... sometimes...

If it IS instanced, I hope there are no min. requirements on the number of people who can enter.

in my humble opinion they really shouldnt be focusing on keeping current players playing rather than welcoming new players to the game, as there is much to do for a new player (assuming said new player has mmo experience and can tolerate the games glaring problems that creep onto you the second you accept leve quests). that will create more sales and current players know the game will be sub worthy in due time.

the game is free. it doesnt matter if current players stop playing or not.

IIRC there are sahagins flags by some caves at La Noscea and there are references on some speeches aswell, so it's pretty logical to think they are coming sooner or later.

They aren't focussing on one, they're doing both. Why is this so hard to understand? There are teams working on the bugs, the UI, the lag and server framework, the cutscenes etc etc. Why is it so difficult to realise that if they 'focussed' on one aspect there'd be a huge bottleneck and it'd take years to get the game into a good state?

Chill out guys, this is an interesting piece of content from the looks of it, just enjoy it. They've already addressed a massive amount of concerns TODAY with a bunch of UI changes and updates, why ask for what's totally unreasonable?
