contineus dc from game w/o connection lost

Ok everyone with this problem. I got a reply to the email i sent to squares customer service. It seems the error we are all gettin is caused by an overload issue on the server. I play on selbina btw. They have got engineers working on the problem now and are hoping to have it fixed as soon as possible.

I had a lot of problems with this yesterday, but it seems better now. I haven't had a single R0 today.

Glad to hear it's being worked on but why couldn't they just come out and say that on the forums weeks if not months ago?

This still seems like a weird explanation to me, since many people never experience these errors.

I can confirm this as I also got a email answer from SE today 13/9

and I do agree with Steggun, they can post the issue on the forum so player know what happen to them instead of wait 5 days w/o a clue about what s happen, what s going on.

My guess would be the server drops players with the weakest connection to the server in order to try and decrease the overflow of traffic it's receiving.

Selfish server is selfish.

An overload? Did the game suddenly get a purge of new players? How will it fare when its relaunched.

Players + alts + 300 items per character + vast variety of different clothing and equipment + each character possessing certain ranks in 15 different classes + large supply of different enemy types that differ depending on time of day + gathering spots + players in instances + NPC's

When you think about it the servers have to do quite a hefty job of keeping up with all of this stuff.

I never even thought about it until now.

you will expect this at the relauched for the first months or maybe 2 and just pray you wont be one of them, beside not all player play with only 1 char, I know there are ppl who have multi acc and play on both pf em at the same time from different pc

Well, the R0's have returned for me today. I tried crafting, but I had to give up, cause the constant hold-ups were doing my head in.

Ok, this is starting to get on my nerves. I hope they fix it soon ><

Lol, the game client is broke as hell, SE still needs to stabilize it not only server side, but client side as well, random crashes, R0 at wierd times, and I even had to re-install the game because all of a sudden the game kicked me out and it kept failing at the attempt of connecting to the verification server for checking patches...once I uninstalled, I defragged, CCleaner, and virus scan, cleaned it all up which wasn't much and re-installed. Hopefully i won't get any trouble though I doubt I wont.

here is the 2nd reply I got from my 2nd email where I mention that my mac laptop can upload to Tokyo via wireless but my pc cant

regard this matter, the router is use, its setup is the same as it was 3 (nearly 4) weeks ago

as I try with direct connect to the moderm or via router, problem remain the same.


ninja edit: this is the first game in my years of gaming have this problem, regard i play on chinese, US or Eu server so I dont think this is my router problem as I cna play Nuclear Dawn Beta daily and other mmorpg

Still unable to play, but will post again once (hopefully) I am able to stay logged in for more than a minute without getting R0.

I am able to play, but I still get the errors about once or twice a day, and for some rude reason they almost always happen during a leve or dungeon run >.<

lucky to you, I am still not beable to do anything, today is a improvement, as I cna stay for nearly 5 min before got R0

ninja edit: if you miss FFXIV so much, you can play on low population server with 1 chocobo, it work for me

Sadly, no, still getting R0 within a minute of logging in.

I didn't have any R0 this week, thank god ;P

I'm still getting it. It bugs me that after all this time, they still haven't fixed it or even said anything about it.

*bump* nearly 2 weeks and the problem remain

i have found these dc's occur closer to patch dates. I have 2 roomates and we all play on the same server together and we experience single dc's all the time while the others in the same room play on. Even wired pc's will get booted, so its not a wireless thing.

side note, I have also noticed that during JP peak hours i rarely experience these problems, but that requires me to be up veeeerrrrry late.

I had this problem and it happened when I used a macro to gear swap. Go to C:/ My Documents and look for FFXIV. Delete your User File. The game will recreate one when you log in again. You WILL lose your UI settings and Macros. Redo your macros, make a copy of a clean version. This completely solved my 30002 problem, which had nothing to do with my connection even thou it said Timed Out.

Ah! And I thought I was the only one! Similar problem here: S 44 R 0, no problems loading other pages!

good ! more ppl got problem, and hopefully they will fix this anoying overload asap and stop say it is our ISP fault

More than 2 weeks now and still unable to play.

I guess at this point we can only hope that whatever they do to implement patch 1.19 will fix this.

Same for me.
Have been unable to play for more than two weeks, checking every day and always getting R0 within 5 secs to 5 mins.

But today, playing about 8 hours without any issues at all.

look like the problem is solve as I can played at monday as well, if any still have problem, feel free to bumb this thread up
