Kill/murder? Heavens no... That's terrible.
Torture?
Why yes, don't mind if I do.

Personally I'm at a weird position. On the one hand, I really wanna kill Ilberd. On the other hand, Raubhan deserves it more. But back to the first hand,I really wanna kill ilberd.
I'll first get my Machinist from lvl 30 to 50 first then craft a bullet each with their names on it and then when I meet them give them that bullet with their name on it. :p
I honestly think Raubahn will be the one who gets revenge... which would flow perfectly fine with me as he was the closest to Nanamo after all and Illberd is his traitorous childhood(?) friend to boot. But I completely agree on wanting to rescue him though I do have a bad feeling on how the events that took place and time in prison could change his thinking and approach on things in a bad way, Which I hope doesn't happen! ;o
Also replacement for his arm.. I guess would be provided by Cid and Raubahn = next leadership figure for Ul'dah and gaining back Ala Mhigo!? I mean we still need to fix Ala Mhigo don't we!?
i like your line of thinkinghttp://static.fjcdn.com/gifs/Erron+b...21_5517793.gif
What are people's issue with Laurentius? His dialog and expression doesn't blatantly give away that he was involved. If anything, something didn't seem to sit right with him when you report Alianne missing.
I just finished the main scenario a couple nights ago, so the feels are still strong and I can't wait to see what happens next!
Hmm I'll have to rewatch that one again then. I don't remember seeing him in the background of the party scene, only the namless Braves/Blades. Thank god for the inn room. I'm often too busy to really notice little details in the story.
EDIT: I don't see him smirking at all when you are hauled in and he displays the vial. Again, I really don't see anything that 100% proves his guilt. Yes he may have known, but he may also just be someone following orders. We know there are plenty of Braves that are convinced you are innocent, but are bound to follow orders when given, no matter how corrupt the top is. It's possible he's just biting his tongue so he doesn't end up in with same fate as Wilred or Alianne, and is instead, watching and waiting. 3.0 will reveal all this though. Until then I'm not passing judgement without all the facts :P
I can see this plot in Ul-Dah leading up to Omega weapon which is supposedly buried somewhere underneath the Carteneau Flats. I'm sure the only thing we'll truly be able to do is perhaps save Raubahn and break Omega Weapon. Who knows though, maybe we'll have a Praetorium-style 8 man dungeon where we get to kill Ilberd and the rest?
Now that Ilberd is dead i can finally set things to rest. Now only the other 2 are still out there and Laurentius seems to not be himself with his conscience :)
