....again the persons comment still holds up, that was 1-4 that are on these forums....... not even half of the player base posts on these forums, so...... that 1-4 turns into less then 1/4 the player base.

First off thank you for grabbing that before I could
Do you not know how statistics work? Let me break your post in half to better explain.
No game has or will have 100% of the game's community on their game's forum. However the forums still have a reasonable amount of people from the game with varying views of what needs to be done and what shouldn't. Were not all like minded here or you wouldn't be disagreeing with me. You can think of it as a blood sample representing how the body is feeling. Bottom line is that the people on the forums statistically represent the game as a large sample group and thereby have integrity in their complaints or agreements.
The question was "Which of the following would you like to see implemented first?" not "Which would you like to be implemented." You make it sound as if that other 75% don't want changes when that is wrong. They would just like to see other stuff implemented first. The fact that auction houses was the second most asked for thing to be firstly implemented actually shows that a very large percent of the community at least has a problem with the wards. I feel we have waited long enough to at least hear some news on whats going to happen with the wards.
Kinda, Item worth to player is what causing the market to be so unstable but this is how it should be. If I as a seller can sell my items at a much lower price then most, I should be able to. If I put in the extra effort to cut my overhead and can sell items for much less but if there is an "established price" why would I? A price history, in this case, just means that those who go through the effort to keep overhead low can keep an item profitable for much longer then the other sellers while keeping the price as high as possible.
@ akisato
So isn't it a good reason to include it? I like profit XD
Auction House, Yes Please.
Market Wards, No Thank You.
please explain Akisato
Keeping prices has everyone else keep there prices high making it hard on new ppl to buy things so they 1. become crafters and make their own gear which mean they'll need to sell too which means more competition for those already selling, markets get flooded which slows sells or 2. they farm gil themselves or more likely buy gil from RMTs and we all know how this turns out.
well with the exception of the rmts, I almost feel that's a reason against what we have now because I had to pick up crafting my own stuff because the gear I wanted was never listed in the wards. Price history helps sellers know what is demanded so they can supply that item. New people will have to pick up a trade regardless so they can buy stuff (You can't be unemployed and want a flat screen either), but at least they could decide what trade they want. I'm not a weaver and carpenter because I like it, I am because my battlecraft is conj and I need canes and robes.
really? of the 500,000 people who bought the game... how many did you interview?
Of the, let's say, 4.5 million people who bought FFXIII for PS3 who could be potential customers, how many did you speak with?
(I know 4.5 million people will not be buying this game on PS3, I am just recognizing that each of them is a POTENTIAL customer)
I personally don't want to bid on anything... and I have talked to a lot of people who don't want to bid, and quite a few who were indifferent about it....
The real truth is... neither of us knows what most players want and to assume so is pretentious and obnoxious
in fact bidding is a rider on a bill.... the real issue is people who favor an AH want menu based purchasing and you're trying to sneak in "ebay style bidding" as a rider on that particular legislation....
The market ward vs AH argument has been heated and split for a long time....
You can't even be sure the larger part of the player base wants an auction house... let alone a bidding....
I am personally indifferent towards market wards or menu based purchasing..
I could care less either way
What I am against is having to bid on anything...
Give me a price... I pay that price... I get the item....
Ebay is lame.... as an aside... I hate when people say "I won this on Ebay"
You didn't win it if you paid for it, idiot....
tl;dr at the end of the day all you can speak for is yourself....
I don't agree or disagree with you...
I would just like to point out that you took a very subjective idea and tried to pass it off as objectivity....
I personally don't care if a system is new... old.... fresh, recycled...
as long as it works....
Your pursuit of what you are most comfortable with will only limit your potential....
remember that
