Please tell me you're joking. Their emotes don't involve your character in any way. Take a step to the side if someone bothers you, or teleport to a different location. Don't inconvenience the whole playerbase with more senseless confirmation windows just because it somehow offends you that some random guy decided to randomly slap you. Knowing how big of a deal /slap seems to be to you, I'd imagine more people doing it to you now just because they know it ticks you off. I know I would.

Um, how would the option to add a "receive confirmation prompt from other players' emotes" OPTION inconvenience the whole playerbase? If you want to receive slaps from everyone, you can keep it Off, if you want to get a prompt and lock slaps from those you don't want, you can turn it On. It's not that difficult to figure it out. But thank you for your senseless angst and desire to slap me just for expressing my feel about this. You just showed to the OP why some people are defensive towards strangers. The word "option" is not a part of your initial post. Putting it twice in your new post doesn't change that. What you were asking for, is for /slap and /hug to prompt a confirmation window to the receiver of the emote - at no point were you implying that you did not want this to apply across the board. Make your suggestions more clear instead of insulting me for taking your post the way you wrote it.

You started by assuming I wanted to "ruin" your game. All requests that do not include "changing" or "removing" imply an OPTION, it's common sense. You jumped on me without even thinking in the slightest that I was referring to my personal options instead of everyone, which makes your reaction flawed in the first place. And I reckon, your threat to slap was the first insult between to fly in our exchange, so you can't really come and tell me I can't snap back at you.

I'd actually like it if /hug and /embrace had prompts both to prevent unwanted physical contact (yeah I know it's virtual physical contact, but it's still meaningful), but more importantly for me it might help to make the animation more smooth. It's so hard to sync those dang emotes, sometimes!!

Maybe they could change the animation this way so that smaller characters are actually lifted off of their feet by bigger characters.

Can you believe it?

I love it when people actually talk/emote, compliment each other when in groups or around town, this is an MMO after all. When it happens with me, I never think of it as flirting either.

Snarky responses aside, I tend to keep my emotes "professional" with /bow or /salute with people I don't know. That's just my personality though. People tend to look for ulterior motives, I think, so I try to show if I am being helpful/nice/whatever that it is not because of them but because of a general "this is how I act and how I expect others to act".
