Recently in a duty finder, I noticed a very nice looking character with quite nice glamoured gear. I thought I would let this stranger know I liked their look. His response: "I'm married." O_O I wasn't asking for a date! If I compliment you, it doesn't mean I want to become your girlfriend! It just means I thought you looked nice or played well!!!!!!!

Also, in a recent thread, someone said they thought emoting was flirting. Why is everything flirting?! I thought people liked to be interacted with and acknowledged in an MMO! Am I wrong!?

I've never come across this in DF, but I think some people are either really jealous or tend to overreact. I played with a friend a couple months ago who had an SO who swore up and down that I was trying to come onto her man just because I'm female. D:

I've heard from a friend of mine (female), that a friend she made on the game (female) at some point started refusing to play with her anymore, because her husband thought she was a guy trying to steal her away from him. They never flirted or anything, they just played together a lot.
Some people are really weird. Best thing to do is shrugging it off and dealing with people who actually deserve your attention.

I do have a female character, but she only flirts with female models. (Except for Sophia)
