Somewhere along the line, the idea of achievements became very warped in games.
Take the above for example, if you win the jackpot, that's an instant achievement completed.
I think that's what the idea behind it is anyway.
I don't think it's meant to be gotten by everybody, it'll be one of the super rare ones that'll simply rely on luck.
There are others like the Honest Gillionaire (10million gil from leve rewards, need to do about 1600 leves, 270 days to complete) that are just as hard to get.
But if/when I do get the title/achievement, I will be sporting it with pride :)
TLDR
Not all achievements are meant to be gotten by everyone, some are just luck, some are seasonal and some require crazy amounts of grinding. That's what makes them fun to chase after
Nobody will ever have all FFXIV achievements, many from 1.0 are permanently missed even by legacy players and no longer achievable. One or two more doesn't make any difference.
At least it's not like in WoW where every new patch has unique and missable achievements like First mage on the realm to achieve level 90, they are extremely hard to get because of crazy rush and competition which is probably not your idea of fun.
TIL every achievement must be available to everyone.
Kthxbye.
No. Nearly all players will fall on the "average" side of these two questions (whether they'll win a million in the Jumbo Cactpot, and whether they'll complete nearly every achievement in the game). It's extremely few players who would do either one. Most players will have a lot of achievements they won't get and these will be among them.
