What is the point unless you've earned those achievements legitimately? I will never understand why some people are determined to buy things like this...

Don't understand either. So you buy the T9 clear, to unlock FCOB only to realize you have no group to do that with either and have even less chance of clearing it than you did T9
how many times are you willing to do things on and on, seeing people leave after one wipe, you having no progressions for weeks, months at times, in order to finish something ?.. be honest how many times are you willing to do a single thing in order to advance in the game ?
Oh wait of course you cant answer, you have a static so a few times only are required ..or you know friends that will drag you through something without paying, but if you dont have this, in all honest,y how many times are you willing to do something over and over and over again ?

Minion collectors lol On our server they sell "pony farms" for those that lack certain ponies for Kirin. One of my friends had someone with multi legitimate (selfachieved) T13 clears buying a shiva pony farm just to be the first one (dunno if over all servers) having ALL possible minions/mounts legacy stuff included.
And I'm sure my static will carry our laggyish minion farmer friend through T13 one day (not even close to T13 yet  ) to get him that lil friend :p
FCoB carries, as they mostly exist right now, are very much against the ToS. The accepted method is to give up your account info, and then let the carrying group play your character. You would have to pay a premium for the risk of getting caught doing that, especially since that carrying group couldn't really stop you from running your mouth in text logs later on.
A true carry through FCoB in 12 and 13 (wherein you just die right away and the carrying group does it with 7 people) would create a lot of problems mechanically. I'm sure its doable, but really probably only the best 1-2 groups on each server could accomplish it. Your DPS would have to be bananas since you would be extremely hard-pressed to 1-tank anything at all in FCoB (except T10 maybe).
Final coil would not be solo tanked, it's solo healed. A group on our server solo healed t13 (said it's NOT worth it at all though) and solo healed and solo tanked t12. I also know solo healing t10-12 is a thing.
OP, I know how you feel. Believe me I do. I have been in so many DF groups for T9 it's not even funny. I even got the crushing defeat of getting Nael to 2% HP and wiping.... TWICE. But just last weekend, I managed to get a truly uber party and I managed to beat it. Was I carried? Maybe I was, but I did live through the most of the fight and the scholar who was healing with me died twice and I died once because the MT led me to the wrong side of the arena when I got the Divebomb mark and I got a cauterize to the face as I was running to the other side >.>; But we won... and I have yet to go into final coil... I really do need to start that. Oddly enough it looks easier on the videos >.>;
Well your a kitty, I'm in a kitty only FC, And we got past Golems, on our 1st try as a FC last week. sadly your not on Balmung.
We do raids 3 times a week.
Really I recommend finding a progression FC, Not a FCoB FC.
Also mumble helps and if you are on PS3/4 there is a Free version for phones.
Nah not at all, t10 and 11 are very easy.
I beat t10 second time trying with a full pug training party on PF, and t11 took me about 3 pug training parties to beat. The early FCoB turns are a joke, compared to t9, and offer very good loot.
But beyond that yes, you will need a static.
All the mechanics are trivial once you mastered it. Even divebomb marking is trivial once you've wiped the party 10 times figuring out how to do it best. But getting 8 people to that point take a lot of time and practice. Statistically speaking, there got be at least 24 trivial things to get right before heavensfall, and all the players can get those things done right 99% of the time, that still means you only got a 78% chance of getting to heavensfall, and this probably being too optimistic, because something simple like a DPS dying to the lunar dynamo, could cascade into the healer raising and missing a heal on the tank and the tank dying and more dps dynig and wiping. And when you get players that just can't figure out how to stack for divebombs in T5... if they get to T9, better hope the RNG doesn't give them the thunder or worse yet T9 divebombs.
I know there is no way we can prove any of this, but it is that hard to imagine the RMT and clear sellers are in cahoots or one and the same?
And so these clear sellers will get people thru T5 and T9 who can't stack or spread and then test the frustration level of the other players. I've been helping people clear T9 for the past couple months now, and I've seen some really patient folks, and in general once people have their expectation set realistically they will work at it until they get it. The people that give up to quick are those that buy the clears, and the so called farm PFs (which I call pseudo-farm) and they are really meant for each other, the loot for proof of clear does mean jack, and they start pissing at each other by the third wipe.
Been playing since 1.0 and still cant get further than T2. I would love to see the story that is in there since it pertains to the fall of Dalamud. I really want to know more about what happened to Louisioux since he did so much for us in 1.0... It's not that I cant do it, I just cant get people to let me run with them when I'm honest and say I've never beaten it. People just start leaving. And no, I'm the highest leveled chr in my FC and the rest have no desire to even try.
If it helps any other than the title and the minion for completing turn 13, there are really no benefits to getting past turn 9, as pretty much everything from Turn 9 is mostly obsolete and can be surpassed with casual gear or crafted gear.
Coils completion is not required for any of the 3.0 Heavensward content according to SE. So it really is not required.
That being said while I find the price for coils carries it is not an unreasonable request.
You are asking 7 other people that don't know you, are not in your FC, or have any affiliation with you to take the time out of your day to carry you through content (meaning they are already playing 1 player down from the start. They also run the risk of actions you take causing a loss. To top it off each of them have to split the funds 7 ways.
They went through and on their own completed the content, and mastered it well enough to carry someone else with them. So a gil for carry request is not unreasonable.
As far as the cost they technically have the right to charge whatever gil they want. If people are willing to pay it then that kind of helps set the price. Is there a reason you can think of that they should offer a lower price for you, that does not apply to anyone else?
If you are wanting to complete coils, and your group is not working out, it may be time to seek out another static to work with and learn the content. From there if you want you are welcome to work with your group and see if they can carry the others. It happens. That is honestly the best way to get it no charge or low cost.
As far as the gil itself, If you have crafting and gathering and you put your time to it, you can pretty easily make that kind of gil, in a reasonable time, especially if you unlock the Masterbook 2.
If you don't do crafting, gather, or other content, I don't know what more I can recommend.
