What was your last dungeon ragequit?

I've never quit even when being trolled. eventually the trolls leave And i explain the whole dungeon boss by boss... had to vote abandon once because CT was glitched.. vote kicked someone who was not allowing us to complete the first boss after 6 wipes, even tried auto translate to help him.. I'm pretty tired of people leaving sometimes even after it pops up when we first get out of the cutscene circle.

of course it's not my money that's paying their subscription.. and I'm glad they left instead of ragequitting later.

I've reported many people for abusive language. i wish sometimes i was on a JP server because they are a lot less likely to call out someone else on being a bad player, instead helping them to finish.

I don't ragequit, I just kick the bad players.

I have never ragequit a dungeon. Even when I joined a DF in progress, and 2 others left as I joined, I stuck around and 2 new people came and we owned the place :D

I've never left in such a way that I got the penalty. I have left dungeons with Vote Abandon, though. The last one I recall was CT. One of the tanks was new, didn't speak English, and didn't know what to do with the skeletons on Bone Dragon and kept stacking them, so we just kept wiping over and over despite the efforts of the other tanks trying to fix it.

There was one time I did Garuda EX through DF and got a group of trolls. I didn't quit, didn't want to give them the satisfaction. Eventually they got bored of dying over and over themselves and left, and that's when I left too.

Queued into Aurum Vale as a dps wanting to experience after about 45 minutes of waiting to find the tank wanting to speed run and skip all trash for a relic. I insta dropped after he wiped. Do that stuff in party finder please.

Stasha hm 2nd wipe on first boss. Healer asks how to heal through poison stacks, I like to divide my replies into separate points. First line: ensuna yourself first helps. Second line: spreading out helps too. Obviously not the best order, implied tone which there wasn't meant to be, and offering no explanation therein the why those suggestions help. Both equally valis and separate as most people know by now. Healer immediatly flips their lid, the details of which I am not about to repeat. Figure people I know have the majority, healer obviously not willing to accept corrections to communication errors and being abusive might as well boot for harasement. Vote kick failed, at that point no longer worth my time to endure the continued verbal assault or assist the people who asked for help, that I know and left. Not even overly upset with the healer in this instance, no longer assist these people I know when they ask anymore though.

This is about as narrow sighted a statement as can be put forth. There are numerous reasons to abandon a dungeon, just because this thread is intended to focus on the negative ones does not mean they all are.

I didn't bother to rage, I just quit after finding our tank for Brayflox regular was a 34 Marauder. Healer who appeared to be with him, said No Problem! Same thing! ..........

Sometimes the trolls don\\'t leave, what makes them leave is the vote kick. But pre- vote kick option, if u had a troll in AK or WP. Ur pretty much out of luck as the only thing to do is to leave the instance.
But now any dungeon is completable with 2/3 ppl as long as one of them is the healer = which is me.
The unsyncd gear 50 dungeons are very manageable with a competent healer tht can tank or dps, all thanks to the super overgearing lol.
But all of this is avoided simply now due to the option of vote kicking.

Haven\\'t left an instance due to bad players/ poor performance/ under geared/ low dps.
But i did call them out on it regardless if it hurt their feelings cuz u r grouped with 3 others who expect u to pull ur own weight.

There have been times that I wanted to eat a 30 minute abandonment penalty, but I have yet to do so.

Sounds to me you were equally at fault for entering a random DF and expecting a random stranger to cater to your speed run.

Can't remember the last time I've rage quit, but I almost shame quit the other day when I got a trial from roulette I hadn't done in a long time and completely forgot all mechanics.

Perhaps the term ragequit wasn't the right word. Left a dungeon or instance would appeal to a few of you white knights better.

Doing my Dailies. Got Sastasha NM as a WHM. Got a tank that would not listen. He never used flash no matter what is said. I died a few times before getting to the first boss. Right when we started the boss i left. Dick move i know, but it made me happy.

Mine was like 5 mins ago, I logged in, entered HL Roulette.
WP popped and there was a tank with 2.5k hp...and then it started and there was no Sol bonus so I was like "Im going to bed now" then I logged out.
Then I typed this...AND NOW IM GOING TO SLEEP <3

Let me preface by saying I don't really "ragequit." On the rare occasion that I leave a party, it's either because I am in calm disagreement with the behavior of certain party members or because I have to get off the game. The second instance is even rarer than the first, because I do my best to plan around real life circumstances that would take precedence over the game.

Let me also say that I will rarely leave a group due to a lack of skill on the part of the group members. I have no problem with people who can't handle a dungeon or trial, and I am willing to practice with them rather than head for the hills. One example is an AK a couple of patches ago, where I stayed with an undergeared and unskilled group until they timed out of the dungeon. They were nice people, so I really didn't mind this. There are also instances where I have compensated for a lack of skill in order to finish a duty, like the time where I healed a gladiator through brayflox nm. I let him die on the second attempt of the final boss because he wasn't moving the dragon out of the poison, and healed a ninja through the fight instead. Even so, I never left or kicked anyone. I was also fine with this run, even if the gladiator should have been listening to instructions and should have gotten his job stone before advancing past hakkue manor.

All of that being said, there are times where I will excuse myself from a duty. These cases are usually the ones that involve excessively rude and entitled players, who treat the other members of the party like slave NPCs and verbally abuse them or kick them if they do not play to their standards. I eventually left a group where a paladin and ninja pair booted a BLM for not having a good rotation when they themselves were not playing optimally (no tank cooldowns, no ninja poison). I don't have a problem with people making those kinds of mistakes if they are pleasant, but the hypocrisy and mean spirited act of kicking someone else for not performing up to standard got under my skin and made me leave too. Another time, I left because a group was getting on my case for not using holy enough when I had low mana and needed to focus on keeping the group alive. I don't assume to be the undisputed master of my role, but white mages don't get unlimited mana when pulls are sloppy, dps is low, and I have to heal myself for half of each pull. When people get abusive despite my successful efforts, I make the decision to go and help players that will actually appreciate me and drop the group. Of course, these abandons are relatively rare. I think I have only left two or three times in the last few months.

There are also situations where I want to leave, but stay because the group eventually shapes up. Had a dragoon in Dzemaul Darkhold pulling extra mobs because the tank wasn't pulling them (tank was doing Zodiac and wanted to go fast, dragoon was leveling). At one point, this resulted in too many mobs and got us killed. I didn't like that very much. I understand that people want experience while leveling, but it's usually the tank's choice as to what happens if the group is not interested in communicating much. I don't like getting overwhelmed and killed just because someone wants a little more exp. I stayed because most of the optional mobs were dead already and only a few were left, which meant the dragoon quit pulling everything. He's kind of lucky that he didn't get booted, because everyone else was pretty furious with him after the stunt that wiped us.

Another example, a dragoon that wanted to speed run Qarn HM when the tank was doing normal pulls. Kept trying to rush the tank, pulled stuff for him, and nearly got us killed (my level 50 strength and abilities prevented it this time). I didn't leave this one either because the summoner sided with the tank and I and basically told this guy to chill out. He eventually did, and we finished the dungeon with no more issues.

If people cooperate and are polite, I will rarely leave before the end. It's the poor and selfish attitudes that make me want to leave and do something else.

I've ragequit twice. Both times I was the tank, and both times I only quit after repeated requests for people to do something different. First time I did it was in Tam Tara normal mode as a PLD. It's been said repeatedly in this thread already that the tank is the one who sets the pace for the instance. You basically do what the tank wants. I'm not arrogant (Maybe a little) but if I'm the tank, I still expect this to be followed. I adhere to this philosophy when I'm healing or DPS, I expect others to adhere to it when I tank. The two DPS kept running off into the little side rooms to get the treasure chests, ignoring the fact that I wasn't going that way. I didn't even notice it the first time and proceeded to pull the next set of mobs. When I died I looked at where everyone was and they had gone in another direction. 'Cuz heaven forbid we miss a potion or ether. I requested, politely, that they follow me instead. They said nothing so I proceeded to pull again. They doubled back and went to the side room again, letting me die in the process. I asked them again, a little more insistently that they follow my lead, to which I was berated for being an arrogant speed running #$$ and that I needed to go with them because the rest of the group wanted the treasures. I said "Well good luck with that. You need a tank more than I need you."

Second time was in Toto-Rak as a WAR. WHM kept using Fluid Aura, knocking my primary target out of range. I was doing my best to position the mobs because we had a MNK in the group and that place can be kind of a pain for MNK's if the tank doesn't position things well. Again, I requested a total of three times that he stop doing that, each time I was a little less polite and a little more insistent. Each time he responded with "No, no. I can do this. It's just my timing is off. The DPS is helping." When the MNK defended him and said I was being a jackass I just left.

Got a tank in AV that wouldn't turn on Shield Oath and lost hate just from me using Cure I and we wiped several times in the first room. Asked him nicely to turn on Shield Oath and he kept saying "stfu". Not gonna waste my time with that...

I don't "ragequit" but I do leave dungeons if there are people who are exceptionally rude, when JP playing start blaming "gaijin" I leave asap and when a tank thinks he is top-shite and doesn't actually know how to tank I leave(mostly the "speed runners" where they try to speed run when they cannot take the damage). I like a challenge in dungeons, but majority of the "speed runners" I've encountered are people who have no clue about tanking and are running on their tanking jobs >.>.

I did never "ragequit" before the zodiac stage, because normally im playing together with a tank friend of mine..
but now after doing atleast 100 dungeons alone, i had to leave more than once, because a lot of tanks think, they have to pull a whole stage, but can not manage to keep aggro, when i start healing, when they are at below 30%. of HP.

But its funny to see how many tanks actually trust dutyfinder healers, on insane pulls.. i would never do that since a lot of DF healers are terrible.

You know, some people might not have the time to carry a bunch of people , that have no common sense, for 2 hours, with the possibility to not even get it done.

Haukke Manor at the final boss when we couldn't kill the last boss. I was tanking and our melee DPS was going kamikaze on the bombs and kept getting himself killed.

A few weeks ago I was doing Shiva Ex as Summoner and I called outer B... After three wipes due to hailstorm clashes and fighting with the party with me saying I called outer B, someone scrolled the chat-log and said, "no the healers called B first". I just up and left.

My stupidity... aaaAAAAAHHHHHHHHH RAGE QUIT!

Ob topic, I only quit a dungeon once, not out of rage, but because I was the tank like most of the time I don't wanna spend up to 15 or more minutes as a dps waiting for expert roulette.
I had a pretty bad day, and first things I got greeted by upon entering Qarn HM, after saying hello to everyone, waiting 30 sec than greeting them again, was: "Just go we don't have all day" so I left the party xD I play for fun, not to get pressured on (I play perfectly well my warrior but I don't for douche bags ♪)

EDIT: If queue times weren't so attrocious for dps sometimes and I wasn't leveling several classes at the same time, I wouldn't tank anymore. Well, I only tank to get my daily expert roulette done in under 25min and be able to actually play some enjoyable class afterwards xD

In fact I get super annoyed when I'm forced to quit a dungeon against my will via vote abandon. I always choose no but it doesn't matter, and it pisses me off.

Was healing Copperbell HM, tank is new. Get to the 2nd mob, tank takes a crit for 70% of his max hp. In shield oath.

I don't usually have bad dungeon runs, and usually if there's a problem it can be fixed with chatting.

I quit guildhests all the time though. They have one mechanic. The game tells it to you. I repeat it to you before we engage. If you're attacking purple bubbles, letting the orange-robed healers make the thing take half an hour, or killing gargoyles by using AoE or DoT incorrectly, then I just don't have the time.

Last time was Lost City. Got in, healer left immediately. Fuck you dps who ask tanks/healers to do that, I'm not waiting for another healer, I'm a tank, I can find a group whenever.

Is it rage quitting if someone leaves before you do and you leave after?

Duty Finder Turn 5, after the 4th wipe due to misplaced fireballs/conflags despite very, very clear explanations of the mechanic. Sometimes you just have to cut your losses and run.

The one and only time I left a dungeon in the time FFXIV opened to now, was after a pugged tank was being rude to an FC mate. Not offering advice or constructive crit, just downright being rude and talking badly about them as if they weren't standing right there (probably trying to get the party to kick my FC mate by attempting to turn us against them/make him look bad) ...which was a pretty low move.

Party kicked the tank after that, instead (karma!) ....who popped right back in a few seconds later and proceeded to trash on the same person, right away. The three of us left, instead, knowing they'd just continue to return.
It was a collective thought - "You are an ass, and you won't go away."

I left the dungeon, but I wouldn't say it was a rage quit - more like escaping someone rude and abusing the 'Join Party in Progress' function.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I'll do a dungeon/trial till I'm blue in the face, regardless the issue... I'm usually the one declining the vote abandons, as well. *doctor evil pinky* (...I can't help if I'm being honest with myself >_<)

Only times I'll willingly accept a vote abandon is if peoples stuff is broken/near breaking/everyone decided to take a break on good terms (but not abandoning due to 'oh em gee y u no kill dis right'), only 5 mins or so left and back at start from a wipe (Ultima HM, usually), half the party rage quit and aren't re-filling at all or other more important reasons.

What pisses me off most is when there's like, 30+ minutes on the clock, have a wipe or two and people want to leave (and then just sit and refuse to move). People need to man the hell up.

To make a long story short, the group I was with didn't know that Scholars can't use Leeches until level 40, and rather than try harder to avoid the final boss' poison breath, just started insulting me. I decided I don't have to put up with this sort of thing, and leave.

The funny part is that, 30 minutes later, I queue up again and get the fastest run of Brayflox SM that I'd seen up to that point (2.2).

Brayflox NM for an atma book. It's super late at night, i'm already pretty grouchy. Joined in-progress to find the other healer had already dropped. I see a level 50 War, a level 33 lancer, and a level 32 thrm (not blm). Tank proceeds to pull over half of the large open zone between the drake boss and the mudpuppy boss. Blows his cooldowns before he even as them grouped. I fight the good fight, but i'm levelsynced, so of course he dies. He asks how someone with T9 gear could fail so badly.

I tell him if he pulls like that again, i'm going to let him die. If he didn't like it they could kick me. He then proceeds to make rape allusions (ie. shhhhhh, if you just lay back and let it happen you might enjoy it.) Disgusting pig!

Anyway, rape jokes directed at me are always a deal breaker, so i was out. Waited 'til he started pulling again to leave just to get in that last little zinger. :P

Few days ago ST, was in group C. We had some problems on Scylla (wtf) but we pulled it off. Then on 2nd boss our BRD pulled, I don't know why but we were all inside and in places. A and B groups started calling C retards for pulling. Stopped healing right there and left right after boss died.

It takes a lot for me to want to quit, but the last time I did was when I was levelling Warrior.

We had a white mage in our party, and we were playing in Sastasha normal mode. Yes, an easy low-level dungeon, should be no problem right? Wrong. The WHM did nothing, sitting quietly content while my HP dropped ever closer to zero. When my HP finally hit double digits, lo and behold, a single cure was fired. Not a regular cure either, but the WHM basically SPAMMED Medica. So, not only a lower power heal, but they burned through all their MP just to recover me from a single encounter.

I figured they were new, and suggested politely they try using Cure II as it's better and heals for more. Moved onto the next mob group. Same again. Again, politely mentioning that they should really consider using some REAL heals or at least cast them sooner I went onto the next group.

Well, the third time just broke me. I told them simply that if it continues like this I wouldn't be sticking around. Their response? "Goodbye". So I quit.

I refuse to party with any healer who fails to do even the very basic level of curing and won't even take some polite advice.
