This is what I mean. It's literally just a Squire with an additional ability and a name change. And it's not even playable outside the one guy. Who is a guest... in one battle (excluding Rendezvous).

Considering my character's name is based off a constellation and I main between scholar and white mage (depending on which gear sets i find), I'd honestly be surprised if this class did not become my new main.

As a healer(whm) for a main I'm looking forward to it very much yes! :D

First job I will level up out of the 3 new ones but then will I play it much? will depends, we know pretty much nothing so far

I main whm and i am slowly working on scholar... I love healing. However I get easily distracted... So gardening, gathering, minions, mounts, crafting and more keep me busy. I will be a master four star crafter one day.

I love being a whm :) but as soon as the expansion hits - i am going for this class all the way!

After playing WHM since the launch ....I need a change.

Never played healer before, but i will level one so that I can throw around playing cards.

Curious to see how the Job is going to work exactly. I mean WHM is more strong with Raid Healing and Burst Healing. SCH is great with mitigation and good MP management. Wondering if they are gonna make this Job more of a HOT healer or not.

The main hand being cards will go great with the Setzer glamour :)

HoT-centric seems most likely to me in terms of giving it distinct use cases and strengths compared to the others.

I'll be doing all three of the new jobs. Machinist will definitely be kept so I have a ranged DPS(not a huge fan of bird), but I'll see how Dark Knight and Astrologian turn out to see if I'll make them my main over my current choice of tank/healer.

I will certainly give it a go to make sure I know how that class functions. It would depend on whether it gets Swiftcast or not though.

I know I'll be playing it when it comes out, but I haven't decided if I want to make it my main or not - The new classes would have to be something really special to make me want to go through the relic weapon upgrade path again.

I know how you feel that's exactly why I stopped my nin relic now cause I'm positive that mechanist is going to be my main. I'm gonna be a Au Ra mechanist.

Yes u Know doing relics its very time spending and drains a lot of hrain energies lol. So i want to Save both For the AST. And to be honest since when they announced it i feel like no motivated to keep playing with my actual class . So my goal nlw are the EX primals plus coils. And im already saving allied seals soldiery rowena tokens For the ast xD. Even if prolly with the expansion there Will be new tomestones...

I'm very excited to try out Astrologian. Depending on how its mechanics works I may be looking at my new main.

I dont understand y SE didnt giv these new classes a base Class...

I'm also waiting for the Astrologian relic. But what I really want to see is the AST pvp gear, with the new pvp modes being released getting marks may not be so time consuming as well.

I'm am SO EXCITED!!!!! I was expecting Dancer, but this was an amazing surprise! I am obsessed with Astrology, so as long as the class is fun, I will definitely make the switch from main WHM to main AST. Of course I play all healers, but as far as main gear goes, AST will be the one the gear is BiS for.

I've not really been satisfied with the classes/jobs in game so far. However both Astrologian and Machinist have my interest. Since I was maining Scholar going to Astro right away is the logical choice! I also have a love of astrology in RL and tarot cards so I'm just tickled to say the least.

Same here!

I play all healers, so while it may not be my main (that will remain SCH because Last Resort), I will play it.

It will depend on if Astrologian is as mechanically more active than a SCH compared to the passive role of WHM.

Optimal party will probably be SCH and a AST/WHM.
AST probably has strong buffs that vary depending on how well you pick the cards.
AST may push out WHM if SE don't give WHM some actual utility outside raw healing.

Ill probably change to AST. But the introduction of a 3rd healer may encourage SE to balance better. Rather then the current Band aid fix of stopping SCH shield stacking to prevent double SCH pts.
I played BARD in FFXI so I do like the support role.

I will definitely max lvl my Astrologian. i main WHM but I really want to see the new cross-class abilities I can use with my WHM.
