It's not like the characters in 1.0 had butts to begin with, they may have had better textures accentuating detail of it, but they never had any.

And I understand why. Sadly, most of fancy customization stuff would require a really huge work time for adjusting it to everyone, avoid clipping with armors and a lot of modeling... When you mix the words "Customization + Graphics" you make tremble any graphic designer in the earth, things are very limited, and to offer a wide range of customization without having any troubles at all with few things is difficult...

We have already cases of hair clipping in many armors, but it is so easy as just adjust (In most cases) the hair to the armor you want to go, or try to choose a hair that won't clip in the 90% of your armors. With butt clipping... What could you do to repair it? Buy a fantasia? SE can't afford that. And those who love conspiracy theories would surely start saying "They do it on purpose so now we have to buy Fantasia for fixing some clip issues".

Having an objective analisis about it... It is almost a meaningless result and subject to 'fix' compared with the work and troubles it would give to make, so, in others words, not factible to do anything with that. A lot of work, possible bugs and problems for just having in exchange a few little minimal graphic changes that won't be noticed at all or appreciated by surely 90% of database.

I bet if money was thrown at SE they would do it.

Not really. They stated that they reduced the size of the characters' rears to make it easier to model armor. Changing that and having to spend extra time on the armors just seems counterproductive. *shrugs*

Yes! I find this image to prove how important it is to have better butt sliders for the game. This is absolutely game breaking in the grand scheme of things and the devs really need to devote their time and efforts to fixing this very important issue. Please keep bringing attention to this blight on the game! I cannot believe the devs dismissed this already, its a travesty!

I think I found the culprit who chopped off all of our butts...

Oh yes, my fem roeg can also "appear" to have a butt from a 3/4 view as well. However the second you move that camera the magic is undone and the truth is revealed.
Not to mention that some armor flatten butts even further.

I normally end up wearing long skirts, robes, coats etc to cover up the change to my cat's proportions. Any of the females in the tight pants, skirts, etc look fine right up until you look at them at the wrong angle and they suddenly look like they had blotched plastic surgery. It is very noticeable with any coatee, which still has its 1.0 model. Sadly I don't think SE is going to do anything about this, but hey here is hoping. :p

While people argue there are more 'important' things that need to happen, that is true too, but! If you have not noticed...the devs, since 2.0, have been playing catch up. From 2.0 until now we have had barely any worthwhile end game content (4 bosses every six months is not really that great) but we have been getting a lot of the basic stuff that is in most MMO. Tons of QoL stuff, etc. They have a very, very small but hardworking team and had to take a broken game in dec 2010 and turn it into something better.

So let them catch up on all the stuff they need to for now...now, 3.0 and beyond, I think that is when people are expecting major game changes, more unique stats, LOTS more end game, etc. AFTER all the QoL stuff has been fixed and added, then they can move onto the big stuff ^^

I find it funny that SE took the time on minfilia's backside and character creation for females have man butts hahaha

flat or looking squished like a old toothpaste tube like someone grabbed the character model and squeezed it so hard it was stuck with a indent.

I have to agree with this.

It's REALLY distracting at times how much I have to completely ignore my female toons' rear ends because otherwise I would be weirded out by the nonsensical proportions the developers have done. They did the exact same thing on Lightning Returns and they did it here which is just...ugh.

The sheer fact I have to look at my females at the said or 3/4ths of the way to their back shows how bad they really screwed the pooch here. While yes, it DOES suck that if they tried to fix this they would spend plenty of time fixing each and every model to accommodate it...but isn't that what massive groups of designers are FOR? Make this a side project, I've seen F2P MMOs revamp their character designs, what makes this one so special that they can't do it? Who cares about clipping to be truly honest? Even with the huge short hair options this game has, THEY STILL CLIP. So just like long hair, just add the asses back, I seriously hate staring at a washboard back, especially at my THM Female Roe of all people.

It may take some time, but people will be SO MUCH MORE THANKFUL for their female and male character to not have spinal issues from sitting on hard surfaces due to having no buttcheeks to cushion the spinal cord.
