Nope!
Which brings to mind that they only said new Jobs and did not specify a number of new Jobs.
This could mean there are far more new Jobs planned that they do not want to reveal quite yet or plan to reveal as we get closer to 3.0 release.

It could be the Agent class which could heal.
I very much hope for a gun-using DPS class. Not that I hate healing, but I really don't want to see a weapon I would enjoy wasted on a healing class only.
This game direly needs a pure DD ranged job...I hope they put that in someday.
Unique jobs are cool though, like the DRK tank, and possible healer gunner...don't get me wrong. But I still want to see a powerful ranged DD someday:rolleyes:
They won't ever make a pure physical ranged dps... get this through your heads. The game already punishes melee enough, why would they introduce a class that would nullify any reason to bring a melee. There is always going to be a trade off with range, face it.
BLM = has longer casting times, lower hp, some defensive skills, gotta master the slide cast to become sustain your dmg
SMN = has dots + pet, a spare res, and some buffs (can run out of mp easier in fights like T8),
BRD = ranged physical dps, decreases in damage when singing paeon/ballad, can sing foe w/o penalty, isn't super strong but decent dmg
Gun class = something similar but with guns >_>
It's so odd to think of a gun-using job as a healer. Guns are tools of destruction. To heal with a gun, would it be shooting some kind of fairy dust? I can't think of a way to put guns and healing together and make it cool.
Adding any more DPS to the game without making up for it in tanks and healers would quickly become FFXI class imbalance levels of nightmare, so I'm hoping our gun class is a healer.
Well you would think they would reveal a job at each fan fest but that didn't happen (N.A.). They only said a healer and tank job was in the expansion(never said dps). And a lot of people like to ignore the fact that "Multiple" can actually mean 2. People would be way more hyped if they here "Multiple" vs 2 jobs. I'm calling it now it will be 2 jobs based on what has happened.
That's not the point though, They can actually get use of the gun as an offensive weapon in Tactics.
In XIV the weapon is locked to one class and if that class is a healer then it just won't get used endgame, and too a lot of people that makes it a wasted weapon.
I'm all for chemist as the healing class, mix could have some really interesting ninja like mechanics, and I fully expect that to be implement in the expansion. But by giving it guns your doing it for purely aesthetic reasons. Which too me is not the way to go about it.
Now you could make the gun get used for dps and give chemist dex based healing, but then Chemist would begin to out dps WHM and SCH, making them the class people want, or it doesn't heal well enough and no one wants it.
Final Thought: If giving guns to healers means DPS gets a gunblade class down the line then i'm all for it. (blue mage with duel Gunblade, with the ability to perform ranged and melee spells please :P)
since my thread is gone with no replies im going to post my thooughts here
so this is hint we have to go on
http://oi58.tinypic.com/2mhhop1.jpg
so with that in mind i think of http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb2...xii-render.png
hes the james bond of final fantasy and a badass too
now i think they class.job might be skypirate do to heavensward being in the air and skyships are confirmed.
what make even more to point to this well... a faction that has pirates all rdy
http://www.ffxivinfo.com/images/scre...ffxiv-1161.jpg
limsa lominsa which also where i think the airships will be made.
and aslo the weapons are in game to support this theory http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__...bladeFFXIV.png
hell even the Garlean soldiers have them http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb2...rion_FFXIV.jpg
but thats just my theory but anything can go at this point, thoughts?
and also i think the skypirate job trainer will be a off branch to the rogue guild but who knows
If it's a chemist type job, they could use something similar to the mudra system. You could choose your "items" to combine and execute the mix.
I won't be surprised if the Gunblade Job ends up being another new Tank Job for FF14.
Though Gunblade Job has always appeared in my head to be some where between Tank Job that focus on their melee Gunblade aspect and a DD Job for their Range attack aspect.
though I'll be flipping tables if they keep releasing all the FF series Jobs I'm interested in as Tank Jobs.
You're all crazy if you think we're ever going to get musketeer.
After four years of waiting, and 3.0's 2015 release making it five years, I truly believe musketeer has been scrapped.
The dream is over people.
I want a dps gunner. a Healing gunner makes no sense...
"Oh! You're hurt! Here, let me shoot you in the face to make it better."
What part of that makes any sense?
Agent can use gadgets to heal people... and guns to shoot things... Just saying if we have flying airships unlimited magic all over the world. to think someone cant use some sort of gadget as a healing device. It depends... For all we know we're getting Musketeer as a class and it'll seperate much like Arcanist does for Summoner and Scholar.
Just because DRK starts off as a job doesn't mean the gun class will.
FFT Chemist...
FFX-2 Alchemist...
FFTA2 Cannoneer...
and FFTA2 Flintlock...
...all say hi!
If it's a Healer, I would absolutely LOVE to be an Agent based off of prior title Artwork.
I envision (and hope) it to be extremely skill-based... practically challenging to heal with compared to SCH/WHM.
Imagine virtually no large AoE healing but quick-action spot healing & small-radius, low throughput heals.
Like "aimed heals" (sustained line-shot heal, etc.) & heals that ricochet to the nearest, most-wounded target.
Perhaps "focused healing" like applying a stacking 'healing-received' buff on-target, starts off weak but ramps up... capable of falling-off like Greased Lightning making you a really interesting spot-healer for raids.

I agree, I think it could work. I've always thought that if it were Alchemist/Chemist, it would be a little similar to Shaman's in WoW. Shaman's in WoW use a spell called "Chain heal" which heals your selected target, then bounces off to the most injured player nearby. I could see this somehow working with bullets. Just my two cents.
Toodles I like how you're more looking at the upsides and possible "what ifs" rather than be like the rest of the overreacting forum kiddies who are crying because it doesn't fit into something from an entirely different game.
Edit: So long as Red Mage is a RED MAGE and not a PINK MAGE(healer only) and can be a true hybrid or fill a similar role to BRD I'll be happy and they can do whatever they want with the other jobs. Please don't ruin one of SE's only true hybrids(and battlemages) because u need a healer :(
If a gun-using healer is introduced, I'm gonna add a line to my macro.
/p My rifle is getting hotter!
it's funny that you're pleading about something, that hasn't even been hinted at...
i don't think a heal-gunner, fits this game at all, certainly not chemist.
We already have alchemists, that make potions; why would they add chemist as well? they are based on using consumables, and...they removed consumable ammo, and potions have long CDs.
guns are not used to heal, they are used to kill. Guns is DD wep, not a healing tool.
Gun for healing class, doesn't make any sense; would they do something stupid like add MND to guns? If they don't, it will be shitty healer, if they do, it will be shitty damage; What's the point of using a gun, that does low damage? Guns as potion dispensers?
Would be awkward if PLD blocked your potion, or it can't pierce dat armor...or do they need to catch that potion, in flight, and swallow it?
if they don't use the gun for healing, then the gun doesn't serve any purpose either, except tickling mobs, at range, with your gimp damage.
Stop using other games, as reference; this isn't other games. FFT doesn't have *roles* the mechanics of XIV, is totally different. What works in other games, may not work here.
Only reason i could see them adding heal-gunner, is cause it's very different from traditional magic healers, which is fine...as long as it doesn't trample all over the lore.
And on that note, Grid and Limsa already have healers, so next healer, should be from Ul'dah? which excludes gunner/musketeer. Then again, we don't really know where DRK comes from...probably not Grid...
Well anyway...if they can add chemist, in a way that makes sense, then it's all good...otherwise RIOT.
Edit:
BRD already is DD. they even nerfed it, cause it was so OP. If they added another ranged DD, it wouldn't be stronger than BRD...or they will nerf it, like they did with BRD.
^disagree with much of what you're saying, but Ul'dah makes a lot of sense for Agent to come from.
So far we have gun class, ninja, samurai, and dark knight on the table. If musketeer is a healer then there won't be a ranged dps in the new expansion. Therefore, musketeer will be ranged dps and samurai will heals! /s
^don't forget Red Mage in the promotional art!
Good to see them adding more healing classes because I have no desire to level WHM or SCH. Something different will make me think about it. FFXIV needs a musketeer though and they better add one next year, preferably DPS. Add chemist as healer.
agent doesn't make sense, since you basically already are one...running around all over the place, for the scions; your job has no relevance to that.
imo his skills are as such, cause of: needs to protect women.
He's not a *job* he's a *character* there were plenty of those, in FFT; all those special characters, who's job you could never get.
It's like expecting Sword Saint Job, cause of Cidolfus Orlandeau; and have all his skills.
I'm just feeling sad for all the letdown if it is revealed healer-only :(
How many DPS roles do you want? A ratio of 6 to 2 is still not enough for you?
There should be 1 healer and 1 tank every 2dps to be fair
