James Bond is a womanizer. Womanizer class confirmed!
Anyone know if this is the final job? That would suck if it's only 2 jobs.
Probably not, 2 new jobs only for the very first expansion of FFXIV sound cheap, it's the rule of 3... 1 is not enough, 2 sound cheap, 3 is perfect.
Looking forward for a huge announce of a 3rd job in December during the fan fest, right after they reveal what is the gun job :p
In The Secret World u can heal with a machine guns / gun“s / and even with ur own blood.
Hmm...How about Alchemist like something from 10-2.

Chemist?
While you bring up an interesting point, there is also another possibility of the hint. We all know James Bond is an agent with guns. But, take that word "agent" and think of what Chemist use in there concoctions. Can be described as "agent" or "reagent", either or. Definatley, makes a strong case for Chemist being the new healer with guns.
Also, Chemist could use special concoctions to heal similar to Ninja's mudora system where they mix certian actions for a specific ability or fail.
They had this slide in LV Fest that had "Multiple Jobs" plastered on huge font so I highly doubt multiple = 2.
Hoping here that these Agent suggestions would die out, It's so unlikely to see a job that was only on one side-FF on a specific bonus character. Just my 2 pennies :p
Sorry for being pessimistic but after the housing debacle and other "play on words" i feel this expansion going to have 2 jobs only.
1. N.A. fan fest had no reveal
2. They only said a healer and tank class was coming
3. They only revealed 1 job at the EU fan fest
4. And could easily have multiple jobs = 2 jobs to keep the hype going.
there is too much evidence saying 2 jobs are coming than "Multiple" jobs... -_-
007 has three digits, Half Life 3 confirmed!
2. I remember it being worded as "At least 1 heal & tank", not to mention a possibility for a 3rd caster class.
3. EU fan fest only was 1day, while JP will be 2days. Also NA/EU had other features for 3.0 shown.
And the housing prices were from what, 8 months ago so there can happen alot in between.
I don't really count any of those as "Evidence".
Since no one said it yet. I'm going throw in Gun Mage :P (even though it probably not. But if it is I get bragging rights I called it LOL)
If it's more than "2" jobs than why not reveal 1 job per fan fest? It's 3 fanfest and only 1 out of 2 that pass had a job reveal. All they said was a tank and healer class for the expansion to my knowledge. So I'll say the last job will be a gun heal job.
I am not ready for healing bullets. because that doesent make any sense at all. flying chocobos? fat yagudos? no based quadav? not mention the new gnath race being suspiciously like the sandsea people from ivalice...and they have a "savior" in stead of a primal? what? and why is his helm an insect rip off of odin's helmet?:confused::confused::confused:
It is confirmed as healer?
Yoshi said to look for hints for the new classes, so I think the gunner is actually going to be a chemist healer. I don't know if you guys paid attention to the random quests in Coerthas, but the doctors there don't use magic to heal people, they use items/medicine. Of course that could just be fetch quest nonsense that has nothing to do with it, but I think it does.
Also I believe there will be three new jobs, not two.
Know that artbook they're advertising on the main site?
Notice that girl with a rapier standing in front of the paladin? I think that'll be the new DPS job, since the expansion is Ishigardian based, and I can totally see them fencing. I think she's also going to be the new job, because they ninja revealed scholar/summoner for 2.0 through art as well, also.....
Remember that picture? Notice a class we're about to get to the left of the scholar, and to the right of the lala black mage? That's a Rogue. Maybe they planned to release it for 2.3, but it got delayed till now.
Speculation, speculation.
make my PLD turn into the red power ranger !!! Vincent valentine batman gotham
Yoshi-P made shooting motions and specified "The Man With the Golden Gun" as his favorite 007 movie. Perhaps there's some significance in mentioning that particular one.
It's apparent how much Tactics people played here. Chemists could use guns to attack and threw potions to affect healing. Was also your only means of field healing early in the game. And the adherence of a bullet's inability to heal is laughable. A few games have had guns or ammunition you could use to heal. Monster Hunter has had healing ammo for bowguns since the early 2000s. In fact, if there's a bowgunner with a bowgun capable of firing it, it's practically expected they carry some for cheap healing between rounds with the titular beasties.
Magical Gunner, Being the first to call it!!!!!!!!! ;p
Why?
Final Fantasy Unlimited Character weilds a 3-barreled Golden Gun which used magical Attacks/Summons.
marksman\cannoneer
I think the ones mentioning Gambler are possibly on the right track, considering that was how Corsair worked in FFXI with "dice rolls" and essentially you gambled to either roll again for a higher number with the risk of going bust and getting no benefit and you lose the ability to have 2 buffs on the party or just staying put at a lower number for a lesser effective buff.
Although what I assumed was his t-shirt had a Pistol on it and as such musketeer will use a pistol instead of perhaps a larger rifle or mage type gun weapon.
I really think it'll be some sort of chemist, like in final fantasy x-2 able to combines items for stronger ones and in final fantasy tactics, able to hurl potion to you. Thus 'fixing' another problem ffxiv has, being that items are garbage. Even the phoenix down is useless.
I seem to be in the minority, here... While I loved Tactics (And generally disliked all other Final Fantasy Tactics games after the first one...) I really don't want to see Chemist as a job. For starters, it was a really really basic job in the game. Far from "An iconic Final Fantasy Job from the classic games".
So far we've got a bunch of super-stars: Paladin, Dark Knight, Ninja, White/Black Mage, Summoner, Dragoon, Monk, Warrior
And a couple of B-Listers: Bard, Scholar
And you all seem to want to add the Corey Feldman of the Final Fantasy universe to the game. It'll be a sad day if this comes to fruition!
So reading through this again and the reference keeps coming up about Yoshi mentioning he liked "the Man with the golden gun".
The man with the golden gun was, in the film, the worlds most expensive ASSASSIN: Scaramanga.
I don't know how this plays, if at all, into our new class/job we will be getting. Rogue is an "assassin" is it not?
Mentioned above is Agent, it sounds plausable, but also as mentioned, don't bring in a C character to a cast of A players.
Maybe with the probable introduction of the Golden Saucer we would get a Gambler, possible but I'm not sold on that.
Hard to tell until they decide to reveal another riddled clue.
Personally I would like to see the return of Corsair, but I believe that was an XI job only so I don't see that happening. I am thinking of where the roots are coming from. A lot of what we have currently is from the first few runs of the series and some tactics. Then again we could be all surprised with a whole new class altogether.
It could be also Sky Pirate like Balthier

We get our own airships in 3.0 after all ^^
And it would fit with Limsa, if Musketeer is the class for it

thats what i said in another thread it makes more since the exp takes place in the air
