Final Fantasy XIV 3.0 Heavensward

I'm pretty excited that we might finally have proper knightdom in FF14. The three current city-states don't do that much for me.

I've been looking forward to this for quite awhile.

I love it when they allude to game mechanics like this in teaser trailers. Showing off what we are able to do in a cinematic is always a fun thing.

when i saw that trailer i thought: wtf is this fairy tail?. althought its good to have the 1st expansion im worried about content and other stuff, specially the 8-man party. I wanna do stuff with my whole HNMLS...i mean FC, otherwise ill hardly buy it

CGI crazy as always, can I have those footprints in Coerthas? Xd

Also the Warrior of Light also has the new Relic 2 Dragoon Weapon in the trailer.

What was that saying? The bigger they are the harder they fall? Well fo dragoon, the higher they jump the harder they fall? Heavensward definitely looks promising based on the slides.

They aren't reliable, no wonder that Ishgard still didn't defeat the dragons, they need us proud non-dragoon to save them once and for all.
After Bahamut these won't be much trouble...

Awh man, think 3.0 just spoiled Bahamut Coil ending. The dragons reawaken because bahamut reawakens and makes his way to Ishgard to bring life back to the dragons in stasis lol.

Great info--very excited for Spring 2015 release, which is sooner than I expected.

Since I main Dragoon Im actually disappointed in the heavy focus on dragoons for this expansion. There are already enough bad dragoons giving us a bad name. Going to be way more after this. And Im wondering if its another joke by SE turning derplander into a dragoon for the expansion.

Well it can be any dragon, they just have to pick one name, Midgarsormr is dead for sure, this white feathered dragon might be Niddhog, it looks like SilverDragon from FF9 though. But Bahamut don't have anything to do with the dragon attacking Ishgard, it's mostly Niddhog leading the attack to reclaim his territory and his eye, the war rages since 1000 years and the coming of Bahamut didn't change anything about this.

AF2 is coming in the expansion, Camate hinted at it on the steam.

I completely forgot about that detail. Did anyone else manage to catch if that dragons eye was missing?

I would like to know if the expansion will come along with final fantasy 14 the original, I'm planning to get a ps4 when that time arrives...just don't know if i can sit through all that download!

It has been stolen during the DRG Story quest but regained at the end if I recall correctly, Niddhog almost awoke at that time but his wake was delayed, but not for long it seems.

The DRG master also says that when the dragon strikes, the sky is clouded by the swarms of dragons just like the video, so basically it's the usual for Ishgard ^^.

It's Vrtra or Nidhogg.

Perhaps I shoulda been more specific, my bad ^^;

Did anyone catch if that dragon in the CGI had any visible indicator whether an eye is missing? Whether it be a hole where an eye should be or some kind of scar?

Back on topic with the expansion though, there is only one thing I would like to see from the dragons in it, I would like them to be terrifying.

Should be Nidohogg, he was finally awake in the 1.0 Dragoon questline (having spent time in slumber to recoup injuries he suffered from Estinein).

I am very excited for the expansion, other than that we will see how things develop from here on out until it's release. We know that the fanfest in Japan will be just bundles of information for the expansion. I'm waiting for that.

I'm so here for 1000000% all of this, can't wait for more info to be released!

The trailer has his entire face in full focus at around 1:17

He quite clearly has two (functional) eyes.

The way they are marking out the Expansion:

"Challenging new Dungeons"
"High end raids"

They are making it sound like they are moving away from Casuals.

Also: HYPE!!!!!!

Game needs new expansion badly. There will be so much to do when the expansion comes out now. Level all your old jobs from 50 to 60, level all your crafts and gathering from 50 to 60, level all the new jobs from 1 to 60.

Since I already have everything at 50, right now its log in do coil 6-9 in an hour once a week, then pretty much not log in except to check your plants couple times a day.
