2.4 trailer is out

That Ninja Nexus...anyone? Ninja Nexus?

So I didn't see anything except exactly what was expected already, so the news people were talking about with fanfest will only bring expansion hype then I presume? I would have thought it was a great opportunity to go event 1 = big surprise for 2.4, event 2 = 2.5 info, event 3 = expansion info. Oh well, I just got back to the game and want to try NIN so I am excited either way, but I still like to be surprised hehe (I can't ever be pleased it seems).

Hyped as hell again. =O

But one big thing that surprises me is that yoshi put them hipster glasses in.

Might as well give some graphic t shirts, nice phresh sneakers and heels with some yo yo G hair cut thats not too out there but says hey i got swag.

But by the expansion we r going to have to have a whole separate category dedicated to glasses imo cuz yoshi is going nuts now with them due to the demand since the release of artisan spectacles.

Was the guy with the Odin-ish looking armor the Garlean? I thought he was supposed to be from Ishgard.

Looks like the Dravian leader, seeing all the wyvern/dragon motif's on his gear. I thought it was a young Solus at first too though.

My bet this comes out on the 28th or nov 3rd after the halloween event :P seems right

Out now means ff14 is out now and as your saying it won't start the day of saints wake prob sometime after

Definitely garlean, the outfits the soldiers were wearing is garlean and the headpiece
is worn by the Solus guy that the xiv websites mentioned. So it could be his son
taking over or something.

The Halloween event would have been put into the game on an earlier patch such as 2.38 or 2.35 and then put on standby. They've had multiple events cross over with major maintenance before - such as the summer festival events during the 2.38 maintenance.

Check out the new live letter, YoshiP confirmed that they are working on a way of making the coil available for people that only want to go through the story (I don't think it will come before 3.0 though). I'll certainly check it out when that happens but until then, the hardcores can have it all for themselves.

FFXI gear :)

It's Fenrir, yes. He's the dungeon's main boss.

I'm guessing a couple roulettes will be relocked. Trials will probably require Uncle Ulty and Shiva. Expert will require the new dungeons. And while some people may not like the look of some of the new gear, they have the option of glamour.

Things I'll do on patch day in no particular order:
-Unlock rogue and see what abilities I'd like to unlock for other jobs
-Whip up my WAR for instant queues for new dungeons
-Main story, then get distracted by fantasizing about Shiva and Minfilia making out.

I doubt you can equip Rogue skills with other jobs. All the other jobs have already their class partners.

Snowcloak looks utterly beautiful *.* It also seems it is definatly a story dungeon as where Fenrir is battled is the exact same place Lady Iceheart confronts the player...

While the group is fighting Shiva you can see the majority of the armor set's have skirt like adornments, so that must be the new tome stuff I suppose....unless Shiva drops armor (doubt it)

The Ninja way of fighting seems so fast and flashy!
I don't really like any of the new crafted sets but a few of the pieces are a must for my glamour collection....the Monk boots and Feather (3.16)

That Final Coil Armour with the Wings....*drool* and I love the rearranged Answers theme that is playing...and the way the trailer builds the suspense....Im so excited xD

Is the Roe Scion finally revealed too? *.*

Does anyone have a clear pic of the coil gear ? The brightness is too dark on my screen to make anything out of it :P I can only see the tank set :x

It look like they are going for the look of Bahamut armor with many dragon symbol on them. And now the color scheme is blue. Not a big fan of it. The gear remind me too much of those many Free to play China MMORPG out there. I thought the 2nd coil armor look better and stronger with the red and black color scheme. So I don't care much for final coil gear. Just want the Turn 9 Tank armor from 2nd coil.

I can't really tell until I see it in game, but I think the SCOB gear looks nicer then the TFCOB stuff. Either way all aboard the 2.4 hype train. I hope we get a lot more glamour options too.

Here's to hoping we get crafted accessories and armor sets side by side instead of having to wait until they're nearly obsolete.

Coil Gear looks meh but honestly I've never liked any Coil gear so... the place looks beautiful though. All those tanks reminded me of Matrix lol.

So... Snowcloak will be a requirement to unlock Shiva HM then? Not sure if that's a good thing yet.

If anyone who has read the dungeon threads that have popped up, you should know I'm really hoping the dungeons will have a point! Making it mandatory for story is a good step, but it can also be a bad step as it could also mean SE might make the dungeon laughably easy, especially when we look back at the previous "Hard Mode" Primals that were a requirement to fight to progress through the story... laughably easy and almost impossible to lose against.

I've been waiting and waiting for the trailer to come out, and I'm not dissapointed! It's so good to finally see Queen Shiva in action. My favourite primal. Does anyone else think Shiva seems the most mystical primal? She's just... so magical and cryptic compared to the other primals.... also that LB: wow.
