So does this mean I can cancel that amazon.JP preorder?
Well preordered of off amazon.co.jp. I'm guessing he means the square enix stores.
I just hope that this time they actually look at a map and realize that Europe includes something besides UK, France and Germany.
Just pre-ordered through Amazon Japan as well. Anything is better than Digital River's horrible system.
Whats wrong with Digital River?
KYAH!!!!
OMG THANKS :D
Really love the art from FFXIV, so getting this to the shelf is amazing!!!!
Does this mean we will finally have long hair? If they finally decide to give us actual long hair that would be a miracle!
Not to mention willingly overselling limited edition items. If you want to see the worst of Digital River, look up what happened with the Ni No Kuni limited edition. Oversold, charged customers at the time of preorder and then fulfilled bulk orders (100+) made by eBay resellers before filling individual orders. They're the EA of online retail.
I used to complain about this all the freaking time, but they've finally started improving their online store.
They already shipped the ARR Soundtrack to Portugal, and I also recently bought the Theathrythym CE from them.
Only took them years to start shipping to most EU countries...
Just got their Eorzea Collection 2014 Catalogue and I must say it's pretty darn amazing in terms of quality and depth. Will definitely be picking up this art book (as well as subsequent Eorzea Collections).
does this mean you will sell them at the fanfest?

I have a feeling this artbook is an updated reference, for things that are coming soon, with the expansion just around the corner and 2.4 3-4 weeks away. That lallafell at the bottom left, I think is Whitemage. We see ninja and the paladin standing opposite of that rapier wielding lady friend. Tells me two things:
1. We are getting another job before the expansion (possibly Red Mage). If its a fencing type class, it could be something that branches off to Samurai as well(as their sword play is also of a fencing variety)
2. the Book is showing things from 2.4 - Expansion, or 2.4 -2.5.
3. In which case, there seems to be another class we don't know about yet.
With the main story heading to Ishgaurd. Ive said it before... Ishgaurd has that setting, in which a Rapier type class/guild would be located. Plus their city flag has a Rose on it.(ffxi Redmage reference to WS)
this is my humble opinion... :) I like to hope and dream...lol
i do think that we will get new class/jobs only at the expansion (mostly because only the 2.4 and 2.5 are left before the expansion)
we know from Yoshi-P that the two new class will be tank and healer.
indeed Rapier scream Red Mage, but do that means we will get a red mage healer or tank?
ps: i do think the same about the lalafell female, she look a lot like the white mage used in the screen before the release
Welp, looking at the image I can only say that the subtle sexiness of all races in the artwork was not captured in the game itself. What a shame.
I think the comment was not that they wanted a book of screenshots, but that they wanted the game to match/capture the art more closely.
Bringing back dat booty, and hips, might help lol. Butt graphics slider with a warning that too much butt can cause you to stutter and drop your frames, please look forward to it :D.
That is correct. While the game graphics and art style (not taking into account the oddly low resolution textures of many models) is of my taste, it does not have the sexy charm found on this art work. Just look at that Roe woman for crying out loud.
Also, sliders with warnings should be a thing.
Since no one has really translated everything shown on page 1, I decided to do it. The following is translated and image translated/cleaned in PS. This is as accurate as you will see from a native level. Enjoy.
(Note: have to double post due to the 1000 character limitation)

Edit: I found it, minion code, hiding in the back of the book.
Also, thanks modokibunny for the translation, thats awesome!
When is this book going to be on the SE store? Devs, please answer this.
Does anybody know when will we be able to order The Art of Eorzea and the Delivery Moogle Plush, and pre-order "From Astral to Umbral" on the NA store?
Just another heads up to people who don't already have it. Amazon.co.jp will ship to the US and EU. The book can be found here for 3,240yen ($28 USD at the current rate): http://www.amazon.co.jp/FINAL-FANTAS...eywords=eorzea
It is also written in both english and Japanese and yes the minion code will work on any account, it is not region specific.
Amazon.co.jp's website can be viewed in English. There is an option at the top of the page to change to english but all prices are listed in yen. As mentioned above it costs 3240 yen, but thats about $28USD at the current exchange rate, and in euro's it works out to about $22 euros.
I would say its safe to assume they wont be available on the store until after the Tokyo Fan Festival.
