LGBT Linkshell and Free Company Directory - Updated August 2014

Hello :) I was hoping to have my Linkshell, Raindow Shell, added to this wonderful list. We are newly created and hoping to provide our server with a resource of companionship and tolerance.

If you don't mind, I would like to copy+paste from my recruitment thread:

A recently created LGBT Linkshell known as Rainbow Shell is looking for members. Having perused the LGBT Free Company and Linkshell Directory thread, I was disheartened to see a lack of representation for the LGBT community on our server.

So I've decided to change that! If you're a member of the LGBT community, or perhaps a loving ally to our community, we'd love to have you join our Linkshell! Our goal is to provide a safe space for fellow members of both the Adamantoise and the LGBT & Allies community, to get together and play in a welcoming, inclusive, and tolerant environment. We are quickly growing and it would be wonderful to see that number continue to rise.

Are there any LGBT FCs on Zodiark?

On Brynhildr, the linkshell Gnome Gnews Gnetwork is not specifically LGBT, but it was founded and is maintained by a Lesbian, and welcomes friendly, chatty people of all gender identifications and orientations.

Did you want the FC added as well as the Linkshell? The FC description on Loadstone says "We do not recruit in game. Membership is by invitation only." The website provided appears to be for the FC and not the Linkshell, and there is no publically available information on that site that I can use to verify anything about the Linkshell.

Just to update: The Unbroken in Diabolos is pretty much dead—I've been the only one to sign on in the FC for the for over a month. If you're looking for a friendly, welcoming FC with a lot of great people on Diabolos, I'd recommend White Pigeon (as posted in here already by Rutteger). Even when our FC was active, we had many members in White Pigeon's Linkshell and that group is always a lot of fun. =)

Hiya Tiffy,

Sorry to hear you haven't been able to get a hold of us. I'm online almost every morning (8-10am on GMT+1) and I know my LS partner Beskar Silverfrost has been online late evenings the past couple of weeks.
Please keep trying, I'm sure we'll catch each other sooner or later :)

While Whistle is not specifically LGBT, we strive to promote a welcoming community in which all members can feel comfortable, included, and free to be themselves.

Our charter includes a clause which states, "Negative comments/jokes... about a player's race, gender, appearance, religion, age, orientation, gender expression, choice of in game avatar, or choice of class/job will not be tolerated..." which we thankfully have not had to enforce yet.

We are a small social group and are very active. We are mostly a non-commitment FC meaning we do what we want when we want! There are no scheduled events and anyone is free to set something up when they desire. We mostly love to chat and goof around. For example, I am primarily an inventor of bizarre housing concepts. I have made XHFL a Jungle, a Tardis, I library, an Inn, an Art Gallery and the "worst house in eorzea". We also have an Apkallu Scavenger Hunt in each of our houses which anyone is free to partake in!
We have 3 free companies, each with a mansion in the 3 housing districts. Our members like to switch between the three depending on where they would like to live on any given week and we primarily communicate through the linkshell. All members get full garden access and the ability to play with furnishings. If a member decides to stick with 1 of the 3 FC I personally buy them their own room :)
