I'm most scared for Prelim 2 if I happen to make it though. I feel that was my weakest. At least there's time to retake it.

Say a Model receives 15 votes from the Voters. His score is 15. The four judges give the Model a 1 2 3 and 0. So a 6 is his score from the Judges. 15 + 6 = 21.

Judges scores arent meant to save models from elimination, but to offset friends voting for friends. Hehe. Things would have played out much differently in Cycle 1 had i gone with this system form the offset. ; ;

This is both a blooper and imo my best photo. If you look real closely at her chest, you will get to see why I couldn't submit it. I tried to replicate it many times to get all the effects, but it never happened again. :/

I look a bit possessed doing some sort of fire sacrifice. I'm so uncoordinated in real life that doing the right combination of emote macros, posing, and taking the screenshot before Astral Fire wore sucked. A lot.

Also forgot to not include the mobs I was using as FireIII fodder in the screenshot >__>;

I MEAN. My helpful mob assistants~

MODELS: After looking at all the submissions for Preliminary Round 3 (Resubmissions are due by Aug 29th at 11pm), I've noticed that most of the models sent in more Action Orientated Shots than "scenic" ones. I strive for a fair contest, meaning I don't want anyone eliminated for unfair reasons, so please consider retaking a more action oriented shot to compete with those submitted. This is NOT a forced resubmission, just a helpful tip from Tim Gunn. xD ((Seriously, wait til you see the photos some people submitted. They are AWESOME!))

Also going to mention that if any 2 models tie for last place after both voters and judges scores, I'll ask the judges. Since we only have 4 judges these first two rounds, if the judges tie as well (2/2) i will decide who goes and who stays.

This round, one model will be eliminated from all races with 4 contestants. In the case of those with 3, if your score is more than 5 points below the second place score (ex. Stardust has 13 points and Kara has 18, while Rina has 21) you will be up for elimination. The judges will decide your fate following the same rules above.

Not including judging scores (still waiting on one more's scores actually), only Tia looks like he is up for elimination as of right now. Kurri is 1 point shy from being up for elimination, and Jayzan is safe (with 4 points to spare). This could all change by the end of the round of course. Don't give up!

Don't give up! This was only day 1 of voting! I suggest advirtising on your server to get more people to vote! ((Dont beg for votes for yourself, but the more people who participate, the more change you have of being voted on! ^^)

And ...since I see a lot of you panicing and its KILLING me, i will go ahead and make this announcement now.........

Anyone who is eliminated during the Preliminary Rounds is welcome to audition again for Cycle 3. You never know! You might just be the Jaslene of ENTM ^^

I'm pretty far down there too but honestly I'm happy either way. I had fun taking the first three shots and I made a couple of new friends on my server because I decided to enter this contest. I'd call that a win. :3

I haven't asked any friends to vote for me cuz I'd rather people vote for me cuz they like mine, not cuz I told them to lol. Maybe that will be part of my downfall. xD
EDIT: Not saying I think anyone has done this lol but I feel like if I tell all my friends hey go vote in here! they'd feel obliged to vote for me. I'm not brave enough to go around shouting about it in game either, I'd feel like I'm spamming haha.

i mentioned it once to my fc, but none have bothered so far as i know. i feel weird asking people to come vote for me..


edit: i should rephrase. i feel weird telling people i know about the thread because im one of the models. I feel like they would feel obligated to vote for me. (it's late, im tired. forgive my orig. choice of words)

Asking people to come vote for you is definitely bad, and I look at the votes and what server they are coming from, so please don't tell any of your friends to vote for you. If you are in last place the first 2 days and suddenly a bunch of votes come from your server bumping you up, I get suspicious! This happened last Cycle and it caused the voting system to be changed completely!

As of now, ENTM is the opposite of ANTM in that the voting scores choose the models, and the judges scores are just a boost. If voting turns into an issue, i'll have to change it again to make it more 50/50. If it's still a problem then, 25/75. And a last resort is 100% all judges. None of those sound fun to me since this is a community event, and I have faith in our community...so I don't expect very many problems in terms of voting scandals. ^^

That doesn't mean you can't shout out on your server in Mor Dhona "Don't forget to cast your votes in this weeks round of Eorzea's Next Top Model!"

I'd really like to know, what makes pictures that the community vote for stand out more than the others.

Just taking Ayreon and Kaelah as an example here from the F Miqo'te group.
I personally think that they're about on the same level and Kaelah entered the fray pretty late if I'm not mistake.
Scene wise, I like the picture Kaelah took more and I'd give her my vote, but it seems like most of the community voters go for Ayreon's picture when they vote...
Guess it all comes down to personal preference when you get two pictures that are on the same level?

lol I never got that impression from your post anyway. I just edited mine for the same reason haha. I wasn't insinuating that people here had done so. More that I felt like telling people to vote is gonna make them feel like they have to vote for me.

After I put her together I realized that I made a darker Elezen Natalie Dormer.

And I'm pretty happy with that.

Here's an outtake of mine. If it wasn't for the big petal covering half of me, maybe it would've been a neat picture. Then again, I'm all green, looking sick :E lol.
