AHHHH!!!! I'm so happy!!!!!!!!
So now there are only two issues with the Glamour system?
-We cannot Glamour pieces of gear which take up multiple slots unless we're wearing a matching piece (a robe being Glamoured onto a robe), or just outright cannot use Herklaedi for its intended purpose (vanity).
-Pieces of gear which are used across Jobs (Tank/Healer Sol gear, Artisan's Specs, etc.) can only be Glamoured once, meaning you cannot Glamour the other Job/s.
Still think the Glamour system would be greatly improved if they took Glamours off gear and applied it to something else tied to the gear set. It would make for a much more sensible and smoother system than the clunky mess we currently have.
Now I just need something like that for pugilist weapons.
That is pretty awesome! Do you happen to know if the team is still working on a way for fist weapons to not appear on PGL/MNK? I know there was a dev response before saying they were looking into it, but don't know if it got anywhere. Fist weapons look cool, but own personal taste I like using my bare fists to fight.
Corresponding headgear, please! Or at least let us make retainer headgear invisible?
. . . yes I spend a lot of time glamouring my retainers, don't judge me >.>
Why can't we just add buttons to the UI to make this stuff not show? All this does is add more ways to force me to spend gil. I know it's not a ton but it adds up and from the looks of it I would have to do this for each gearset I plan to use this on. I like the idea in principle but think it can be done better.
They probably want you spending gil. Personally, I wish we had two sets of slots gear. One for appearance, one for stats. Alas...
I have the same problem as a healer. I'd like to glamor my WHM not-AF2 but it'd be horrendous when I switch to SCH. Sailor's set is OK, but the chokers in this game tend to be unnaturally huge... at least the coming invisichoker will help with that.
Wow! I am glad they listened. 1st it was news that CUL can make food for home decor purposes now this. What good news today!
Here's hoping our retainers can become companions. Is much as I like my chocobo, I'd prefer my retainer(s) to fight by my side and see how their personality comes into play.
Cool.
I hate to be "that guy" though, but I do hope that given the dev's past shenanigans with "vanity" items that these will be fairly accessible within reason and not end up being accessories that need a school list in a 3-star synth or 5% drop from treasure chests.
Maybe they can do the same thing for shields some day. Sometimes a big clunky shield is the one thing that messes up my glamours.
I think this is cool, but as some have said already and knowing SE, it will be locked behind some sort of 2 month hard to find mechanic like a map within a map within a map or desynth of a desynth, something crazy to be sure.
That would still be clunky and annoying; every time you update a gear set you'd potentially need to update the Glamour. You want to Glamour Daystar Robe with both Scholar and White Mage AF, when you then get a new ring and need to update the gear set, the Glamour for one of the Jobs needs to be redone.
Having an extra equipment slot for Glamours would solve every problem with the system. If they want to stick with the Gil sink approach, they can just give us a single Glamour slot which we bind Glamours to; Give us 25 Glamour Crystals, you cast Glamours onto them which updates their Class requirements (you Glamour Scholar AF to it, only Scholar can wear it). There. Done.
You Glamour nothing to it, you're playing nude; no need for effectively blank items to Glamour. You Glamour Herklaedi to it and it works, Glamouring Hands/Legs/Feet would dispel Herklaedi or just be impossible until you dispel it. You could have a Crystal for Scholar AF, and one for White Mage AF, you just equip them after Glamouring them and they're part of your gear set.
knuckles that are invisible too!!
This is awesome news! I hate most of the accessories in game, as they never really match any of the looks I come up with for my character. Hiding them will be awesome.
Well, while it doesn't apply to the tank/healer stuff you mentioned, for Artisan's Specs (and Forager's Hat), there's going to be a workaround:
So all you gotta do is acquire eight Artisan's Specticals and three Forager's Hats, and you can glamour/dye them however you like for different classes.
As far as tanks, healers, and mage go. I glamour a black specifice piece to my gear so that when I'm on smn. Smn and Blm look different, though I don't have the piece I want yet, this is why I was so excited for dyeable myth.
I wish there was an option to go topless for guys. The Southsea Talisman comes close, but I don't like the tattoo.
I would REALLY like invisible Monk weapon glamour. I like the unarmed martial artist look and really dislike the knuckles/fist weapons. They are too huge/clunky. I'm a kung fu master, I don't need no weapons!

Oh wait...I forgot. Your so scared that people "on the internet" will judge you and call you gay...for fucks sake..

Wtf are you on about?
Where does sexual orientation come into play with what he/she said?
Not to mention that you used those "memes" completely wrong.
How the hell your post got upvotes, I'll never know.
I'll just remember you from your 'fanservice' thread that was destroyed by the community, and you just made a complete fool of yourself. Just like you did here.
And monk fists? Monk fists? Plz?
