extreme conflict of interest question

The person who pays for the account is the one who gets to say how it is used. Period. Your friend can get a job and pay for the account if he/she doesn't already have one. No offence to ether of you but your friend sounds like the type of person that uses others to get what they want.

I know OP said he has decided but I'll place my inputs anyways.
I think whatever spat it happened to be, you guys need to act like real friends, man up and try and talk it out just like anyone else would.
If he's being a butt, and constantly being a butt, then you have every right to NOT pay for him anymore. Terminating the account is just wrong though.
If he has no source of income, well that is not your problem. The problem with asking us is; none of us know why he left or the reason
you guys got into an fight. It coulda been a big or small argument...so it's hard to give real advice.
People need to appreciate the acts of kindness. If you were paying for my sub, I'd be as sweet as pie, but sometimes friends do get into disagreements.
Sometimes people do things with without thinking and leaves guilds and such because they're so mad.
Give time to both cool off and approach him. :)

real kindness doesn't need any kind of reward. you shouldn't expect your friend to treat you any differently or behave any differently. you shouldn't even want that, makes it seem like you were bribing someone to be your friend.

you might want to consider cancelling the account so your friend gets off his bum and finds a job.

besides that, give him all the info and let him pay for it. cancelling the account for any other reason is incredibly petty and childish.
