So am I the only one who seems to be dreading having to make another set of darksteel hooks/wire/other worthless turnin items? That's the thing that stands out to me most.

I am seeing a lot of Demimateria, any clue what they are?

When joining Duty Roulette as a party, abandoning the duty within the first 10 minutes will incur a penalty.

I not sure if they mean you join Duty Roulette as small 1-2 peoples party (not full 4 light party) or they mean even you join full 4 light party

It should not be a regular party, but just a duty roulette. So, no, bray will still be there. With that said, it seems like full runs would be more beneficial now with the myth increase and the re-distribution of myths. Unless (hopefully), just the first two bosses get a myth increase.

Even if you join as a full party. This way groups cannot fish Duty Roulette for the instances they want.

I'm curious about the Trial Roulette. Do you think it'll still be possible to access the Trial Roulette even if you don't have cleared all the EX Primals?

I'm still stuck on Titan EX :o

It will probably just not allow you to queue for fights you haven't cleared. but I could be wrong. Seems odd to lock you out of all trials over one fight..

I am pretty sure they need you to beat them first to unlocked new 2.3 Trial Roulette

As we all need to beat Ramuh (hard) before we can go Trial Roulette as well

Same to new dungeon, they gonna forced you to go play 3 new dungeons before Expert Roulette 2.3 light up

Extreme primals are not being added to the trials roulette. Only new one being added to trials roulette is ramuh (hard). So you will have to beat that to regain access to trials roulette. I noticed they even changed the patch notes since the ones a few days ago so its not as confusing. Where all the extremes were listed under roulette it now just says trials.

Some notes others may have overlooked:

• A fourth treasure chest may occasionally appear upon defeating the last boss of Syrcus Tower. The above restrictions do not apply to this treasure chest. ( No loot restriction on unidentified allagan tomestone?)
• The NPC Rowena has been relocated. (to a deluxe apartment)
• Players can now enjoy mini-games in inn rooms using the Toy Chest. Upon completing the side story quest A case of Indecency, players will unlock the Parley mini-game.
• The number of Say, Yell, Shout, or Tell messages that may be sent per second has been limited.
• Rainy weather will now display splash effects when rain hits the ground.
• New music has been added.

The 'new' music is only to be expected, as some of it was hinted at in the trailer - and a lot of that seems to be either more 1.0 tracks that are returning, or remixes of FFIII tracks for the Crystal Tower (which makes sense).

Still, I'm excited about seeing more favourite 1.0 tracks like Horizons Calling return so this is very much appreciated (now only if Mr Soken would bring back the original Gridania and Limsa themes (Born of the Boughs and Navigator's Glory), and the old Path Companion track Piece of Mind, I'll be a happy kitty. :3).

nope, the restriction concerns "enhancement items" as well. The 4th chest will be the crafting material

well yes, but the thing is, once we finishing waiting for this patch, we can start right away on waiting to wait for waiting for the wait for the next patch. (yo dawg)

I read they moved Rowena but where to?

Also, how is the Expert roulette working? I am doing it daily for my Novus alexandrites. Do I have to clear the three new/revamped dungeons in order to gain access again to it or will it provide the three former dungeons (Brayflox, Halatali and Historical Ampador) which have been moved to high Level Roulette?

Going to need to clear the new dungeons first before expert will unlock. That is the one thing that annoys me, I wanted to quickly get that alexandrite and be done with it, but now I would feel slightly rush to do the 3 dungeons and get into expert rou, I have time to do it but it would be more late in the evening than I would like. Unless they change the quest instead of doing expert rou, it is now high rou.

Why would there be anything about them? They're not going to get upgraded past the current level until there's new Coil(or whatever) weapons to be better than them. Unless they just made current steps easier or something anyways.

It wasn't just flare that could take advantage of the Umbral Ice I/II extra tick. It was simply timing a fire spell to get a tick of umbral ice after your fire spell went off. So yes, this is about the Flare exploit.

I just started reading The Color of Magic. That luggage is badass.

I'm not the only one somewhat frustrated about SE making us go all the way to get an Alchemist (unless you're one yourself, not too big a difference) to craft us a recipe with at least one material I don't know where to get (Terminus Putty, though I don't know about Wolfram Square either) just to dye our AF, right? I mean, literally just to dye it.. Unless they're hiding something from us (Able to eventually upgrade our current AF to AF2 maybe?) I really feel this is unnecessary.

Ah well, all that aside: HYYYYYPE!

The Flare spam rotation was not an intended way to do AoE damage. It was already supposed to be fixed for 2.1, but it was still doable.
