Because I got ask earlier on.
I play FFXIV only with Gamepad. I only played it with keyboard for like *think* 30 minutes, but didn't like it with my current keyboard

On my main 16 buttons I only have 12 offense skills, the rest is on my secondary pallete which I can join easy by just pressing R1 + R2 or R2 + R1. Mainly because of me disliking having certain skills on the D-Pad which makes me having both hands on the left side for using certain skills. I only have stuff on those I caste when I either stand still or where I can afford to do so. Those are songs, and DD cooldowns.
On the other hand, properly tanking as a Paladin on more than one mob is a bit harder than with Warrior on gamepad, because of the missing skill Overpower for paladin. Now I either need to use sub focus for my halone combo, or hardcycle through it, which is annoying in some dungeons

Ahmooooose :O why are you so weird, both in game and on forums :p. You don't ever have to lose auto attacks on legacy controls, just lock on the target and strife (viable for every turn except 7 kiting). Everything else has been said over and over again. Also, I'm better than you at controller bard ;) you know it to be true.

Regarding the viability of Bard endgame: while Bard is still a very important job (imo because of how the mechanics of second coil works, not because of their overall tool set which is garbage), stacking 2 bards is by far the worst duplicate job in the game. That's my only issue with Bard overall. Also Bard is not support in this game, and it won't ever be until it's solely designated in a separate category. At the end of the day, songs are an afterthought for a dps-designed class.

Most hardcore SCHs believe that Selene is superior to Eos if you have a good WHM. You can solo heal 6/7/9 (not sure about 8), so Selene adding dps just means the fight will be done sooner.

False, at the end of the day of bards didn't have songs we'd take almost any other dps instead. Songs are the main reason we bring them to raids. I'd rather have a second monk or smn if bards didn't have songs.

Selene out : Speed is up, TP goes faster, you have to have a TP song.

Clearly your scholar doesn't use Selene.. otherwise you'd find Paeon a little more useful. I can't force you to realize that songs are your purpose so if you want to pretend you're a dps and not a support job then have at er.

Bard is probably one of the most balanced classes right now. Enough DPS for a ranged character who also provides MASSIVE FREAKING AID to the entire party when it's needed. Seriously. Literally every spell caster + healers in the party are always stoked when a Bard shows up.

I've played with Bards on PS3/4 and they can maintain at least 300-350 DPS no problem.

When misery's end or bloodletter is up it'll shoot off those, otherwise it'll shoot off heavy shot, and you just consolidated three slots on your crossbar into one.

It's very, very simple to play bard with a PS controller, you just have to get a little creative with macros to fit everything, or learn how to switch between crossbar sets quickly. I, honestly, cannot imagine playing any other way.

Not giving it an upgrade is not a nerf. Nerfing is making it weaker, Bard is not getting weaker, it is recieving no buff, it is staying the same. That is not a nerf.

I haven't seen it yet... Controller has its weakness just as Mouse/keyboard has there... I don't believe that BARD or BLM is best for a controller... A controller user on melee DPS or SMN can overpower anyone mouse/keyboard users but I have yet to see a controller user on BARD or BLM out play a mouse/keyboard user..

We make up a lot of ground just from the fact that we can always attack.

Playing from a controller, if at all, has a slight handicap by a couple dps at most. You can fit everything you need besides songs on your first hotbar.

If only every party member was perfect as well and not taking unnecessary damage. It's not always a healer problem that causes low MP. Hell even RNG can screw you over if the tank takes 6-7 crits in a row. Point is, there are a lot of factors to consider.
