I've seen that lumber at least 4 times now.
A simple solution would be to add a second coffer to the last boss that drops 1-3 crafting mats and remove them from the loot tables of the other boss coffers.
I prefer getting crafting mats over the gear that drops because at least I can sell those. When I turn in junk gear for seals it takes me like 3 pieces of gear to equal 1 craft mat which I can then sell.
The best solution would be for each boss to drop two chests: One with a crafting mat and one with actual equipment. Everybody's happy.
At least they're supposedly going to be looking into it.
The Potions and Elixir are useless, replace them with the mats...
With the new Desynth system, Equipment is more than welcome to drop o/
who cares about desynth, I want mah shiny little body piece for glamour! e_e
As many have said before two chests for each boss, one with a crafting mat and one with gear pieces makes both sides happy. Now it's just hoping SE realizes that as well...
Funny thing is I still don't know what either of those mats craft and I have them all, my main interest is to craft gear or meld.
If the mats weren't already buyable and extremely affordable from the GC Quartermaster, I'd call shenanigans. Especially since you can turn in any endgame dungeon gear for an obscene number of GC Seals.
But I definitely agree that there should be a higher drop rate for armor. I've actually been trying to run these dungeons in the hopes of getting my hands on the new Tank armor for glamours as well as Monk gear so my retainer can run Field Exploration XIV without me having to run LotA fifty million times.
People always pass the Filtered Waters and Cooking Sherry to me, which suits me just fine - I've used the Waters to make Diluted Vitriol (and then used that to make the Giantsgall weapons) and Coeurl Sautee (stacks of five HQ sell like hotcakes, since they're needed to obtain the first Master Recipes book).
That said, it's undeniably discouraging to be seeing this kind of thing in place of armor drops, particularly on the final boss. I'm glad SE is looking into adjusting this.
I wouldn't mind if SE decided to relegate crafting mats to the "trash" chests, either - I routinely sweep dungeons for leftover chests after the speedrunners have exited. :D

some of us can't afford to to grind out loot just to trade for seals. nor wish to FATE farm. or destroy leve's all day long. some of us enjoy being able to craft more then a few or so potions per week.
i run 3 roulettes each day. the Expert, high level and low level. and trade in any excess gear for seals. and what i can get with seals plus loot drops in dungeons gives enough to craft a nice amount of potions every week. which gets used. without those materials dropping as loot, there would not have enough potions to last through out the week. not everyone enjoys constantly farming for something. performing daily or weekly activities is a much better way to go.
the loot is fine. though i can agree that the newer dungeons should have a lesser drop-rate for the materials. they are new dungeons and people want to get new things. after new dungeons come out again, restore their drop-rates back to normal.
Lol are you really serious?
I do 3-4 roulette a day, and I still have enough GC seals that I have capped them so many Times That I have nothing else to use them for, if not buying ventures when I run out of them.
Personally, with all the Times I've done runs of HM dungeons looking for a complete set for glamour, the Times I've actually found a piece of gear as a loot, I can count them with my fingers.
And Most of the Times I get a piece of gear to drop, I get outgreeded/needed by people Who trade them for seals.
It's frustrating.
So no, the Loot is not fine as it is now.
Edit: jfk, I have yet to finish a full set from bray/halatali/LCoA

if it dropped 10 potash, instead of 10 waters I would be happy :p
If such is the case, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, give crafters more options to obtain their materials to craft high level items.
It is impossible to build a balanced and thriving economy, when you give DoW/M all the freebies, and DoH must rely on the loots DoW/M gathers, which are only available on the MB for hundreds of K.
