Its all speculation at this point.
What you have to remember is Square-Enix as a company will look at the financial side first. If they're still making a profit from PS3 accounts, it won't be going anywhere any time soon.
It would be like cutting your nose off to spite your own face.
You can complain as much as you like. But while they still make money from it they won't cut it. Simple. -

We'll see what they'll do. At present, they're fine with supporting it, but I'd be careful about expecting support past maybe 18 months.
