Everything gets abused... Like DF...

I think this argument just sold me on your suggestion...
... not. you want to implement a policy that everyone is going to abused which is fine because other things in the game gets abused. implementing this suggestion is effectively lowering the 30 minute penalty for everyone because no one is going to take a 30 minute penalty when they can just give any reason for why they should get a reduced penalty. SE doubled the penalty for leaving for a reason.
Oh crap. Sorry, I didn't know you worked on the development team. Had I known I was supposed to be selling you this idea, I've would have provided a more in-depth analysis. Please, if I could just have your personal email, so that I might send you the information, we could really get the ball rolling on this...
Ok, cus your wording was a little odd in that post for me.
And "We did not win" doesn't mean that they weren't doing the right thing. Did they SAY that they wanted a carry? If not, then how can you prove that they wanted to be carried and weren't actually, you know, trying to beat it?
Maybe it was you three who had the wrong idea of how to beat it and it was you guys that were screwing up the run and not them?
I know that if I were to play the same way with EVERY group, I'd be failing most of my instances. Instead, I adjust to the group the best I can. This is especially important as a GLD at low levels since honestly, if I didn't aggro would go everywhere instead of at me.
You can already vote kick yourself. Log out.
You misunderstand. "Odd" provided insight on page 1 that I agreed with on the post sometime after, thus I am satisfied. I actually appreciated the way SE provides alternatives to the 30 minute penalty for DF by making it solo-DF only, instead of letting these trolls affect my experience after the fact. Everything I'm posting now is just in response to those of you who keep responding without fully understanding what I was talking about in the first place. As to not be rude, I am just continuing the discussion by responding to those who cared enough to keep posting. My fellow players (or at least "Odd") came up with a solution that wasn't just the typical and ineffective "Just deal with it". As I said in the second sentence of my first post, I assumed there was someone out there with a better idea and there was.
Yes, the WHM told us with a 50% Echo Buff, it was impossible to lose and that everyone was "Getting carried by Square". In all honesty, I did think we could do it, because of Echo, but when I suggested to the 3 BLMs to use Sprint to help with dodging the plumes, he told them not to worry about it as we can eat the plumes now. For the record, my strat was to dodge the plumes and landslides and burn down the Gaols, then focus on the boss. He also kept walking off the edge...
And the only arguments I made were in response to incorrect assumptions or interpretations of what I was saying.
No, seriously. I mean this seriously. Man up.
Seriously. Man up.
If you don't want to be in the party anymore, you leave. If you don't want to deal with them anymore, you leave.
If you feel the party has no chance of success, you leave.
In every possible scenario, you can vote abandon. If they don't want to, then you leave.
You take the penalty and you leave. That's the point of the duty finder. You're in it to win it, and if you quit, that's on you. That's why you get the penalty even if it's 'not my fault'.
Frankly, it's painfully obvious that you are the one who does not understand. You come to the forums looking to garner support for an idea you have that is based on personal experience and emotion more than logic, when told many times and in many ways WHY your idea is terrible, you play the "I'm so misunderstood" card and the classic "Well, you just don't understand me" trick. I tried to be nice about it before, but now I will say it plain.
Your idea is bad. Come up with a new one. Or don't.
Nope, I don't agree. I "played the 'I'm so misunderstood' card", as you put it, because the statement was the exact opposite of what I had described. He/she pretty much described something that never happened, but he/she made it seem like I described it as such. That comment I made was to inform them(you started with, "let me get this straight" or something like that, right?) that they did not get it straight. Also, Aria commented on it and we were on the same page. Even if she didn't agree.
All good, though. Thanks for your input. I'm not trying to anger you. And I agreed with Odd's suggestion. Also, the second sentence of my first post admitted that there's a better solution within the community. So, we're all good. Think we can close this one out and call it a day. Also, funny enough, I agreed with your first post. Gave you a like on it. Thought it was very helpful. So, no real need to get any more plain.
Nah. I mean I have no choice, because the game is designed that way, but people are complaining about stuff all over the place. So, nah. Also, that's kinda sexist...
