Is the lag issue so severe it's taking them this long to find a fix?
I've only experienced the lag in brayflox hm.. nothing else though
on second thought.. maybe the lag is what makes it hm..?
I did all 3 instances and the lag was terrible. especially frustrating as a dot based caster
The lag has infected the server that's responsible for all solo, story duties as well. The level 40 SCH quest is pretty much impossible right now because of the extreme delay. I noticed that the lag seems to be infecting the regular servers as well. Multiple people in my FC (including myself) were complaining about getting "stuck" when trying to talk to NPCs or interact with aetherytes and were frequently getting 90ked.
This lag is RIDICULOUS.
The lag has now spread like a virus to the whole experience. Maybe it's different for different data centers, but on my server it's all everyone is talking about in Shout, so I know it's not just me. Members of my FC based in other parts of the country are also being affected, so it's not an area or ISP thing, either. It takes seconds to dismount, and there's constant lag spikes, where everything stops moving for a few seconds and then starts back up again.
It's near unplayable. I hope they figure out the problem quickly.
Look into it NOW! Need to juice my money from SE.
Half my FC were kicked from the server and they all live in different countires.. it's not an issue on the customers end.
This lag reminds me so much of launch. It's awful. There's no excuse now.
This is only beta phase 9, please give us more time, we appreciate your understanding.
The 90k error is not a bug: it's INNOVATION!
My guess is that most of the people who haven't noticed either don't keep a close eye on their moves/casts or they haven't been in the dungeons affected.
Either way, I would like to see an emergency maintenance. I'm suppose to farm myth for my Atma, but this lag is making it a pain to do so.
Hello,
We often hear opinions that the new dungeons have a slow response time, but looking at people who are participating in the Duty Roulette, not only dragoons, but everyone in general had their internet connections zoomed in quite a bit. I believe this is because in other games you couldn't zoom out very far, but in order to clear encounters in FFXIV: ARR, it’d be best if you zoom your internet connection out to the maximum distance.
The problem has to do with everyone running dungeons and the servers are overloaded.
Please look forward to it.
Nowhere.
...Please look forward to it.
Delete the wtf folder and cache.... oh wait thats blizzards cop out answer for any problem.
IT really hasn't affected me BUT I definitely see it affecting other people.
Yeah it's been pretty bad for me, I've never had issues with lag at all before the update. Luckily my sub runs out in a day or two, just going to wait until they patch it up before resubbing.
Squee is pretty bad at the whole "Let's test our changes to the server systems before we do anything silly like releasing it to the public untested!"
Also, I approve the motion of not playing the game: the hamsters need a rest, you know!
Im thinking maybe they should've held off on removing the auto logout feature.
1st we hated the many maintenances we had before
now we are asking for maintenance and never happen LOL
Aaaaargh.
I just completed the guildhest roulette - I really need the seals. My reward, with the lag?
100 gil.
And, of course, it's now marked as completed. My patience with this nonsense is wearing very thin.
This is not lag. It is a new gameplay element added in patch 2.2.
We call it "Active RNG Combat"
Whenever playes use skills, cast spells, or even just move, the "Active RNG Combat System" will run several checks and calculations, and then randomly decides if that action connects or not.
So, working as intended, please look forward to it, and zoom out your camera!
All of Rev Toll is lagging for like one min, suddenly everything moving again in high speed, then no motion again.
Same with Amdapor, however didn't have the problem in any other area.
Any improvements? Or are they still working on it?
