I agree. The first thing SE messed up was the speed at which a DoH could be leveled up.
Way, WAY too fast, easy and cheap to get a crafting class to 50.
Of course we ended up with alot of players with one or multiple DoH at 50 and a flooded market that way.
And now we have a system where you need all DoH at 50 for the skills to be able to get a chance at an item which is weaker than the easy to get tomestone items.
THAT is what makes me mad.
We have a nice crafting system, but in every patch crafters get a slap in the face with the weak items we can make compared to the effort we have to put in to be able to get a chance at making them.
Make crafting hard, make it a grind, make it expensive, I don't care, but don't make it worthless.
No, I didn't unlock any master book yet. I don't have stacks of philo mats stockpiled on my retainers, nor am I going to pay millions to buy them.
I don't even know why I should unlock any master. I might, but there is nothing worthwhile to make atm (and I'm not talking about selling the gear for gil here).
Why spend hundreds of tomestones and GC seals on materials if the items are not even as powerfull as the stuff I can get for even less of the same tomestones?
SE should really change the stats for the crafted items.
The new gear is not ilvl90 if not HQ. It's ilvl80 labeled as ilvl90.
To make the new stuff worth the effort it should have NQ stats similar to the current ilvl90 and HQ should be equal to ilvl100 which is also easy to get with the new tomestones.
And Zourin is right.
The items required for the master books can be sold and bought.
This makes the whole process of advancing a joke.
It doesn't require any skill if you can just buy the stuff you have to trade.
It should not be possible to skip such trials. The new untradable items you need for tools are the right way to go.
EDIT: And for the love of god, please get rid of the character limit already!
