The model for these ones are ok. only thing SE may have to change is the fur on the arms which could be easily padded out to look like animal fur just brushed back or something. The ears can be somewhat miqote shaped so the devs would have a template to work on for the head gear, perhaps just using the same ones for miqite, just smaller. Like lalas in size but brings about their own unique cuteness. Though I'm not all for the "SE, humanize everything I'm afraid of new things, waaahhh" mentality, but just pointing out theirs no excuse to why there can't be a moogle race.

Do you know which race was highly chosen over Au Ra (which explains why the bestial look had to be changed from their concept art)?

I'm not implying that they wouldn't want Moogles. I pointed out that the humanization of bestial races tends to be based on cultural differences and desires due to it being a Japanese game.

Moogles are, however, quite cute and that may just be enough for their demographic to want them... but they want Viera more based on their last official race poll.

I had acute cutness overload when I saw a Lallafel with pink bunny ears, the pink floral kimono, a pigtail hairstyle and pink raindeer hooves and squeed myself to bits...There are few things that establish a higher cutness quotient in this game besides the above, Nutkins, Fatcat, Gaelkittens, red shoulder fox minion and cutest of all is Moogles doing anything wearing anything. Moogle race would definitely cause serious cutness triggers. So basically yes please bring it on.

Actually, now with Stormblood being released, it's confirmed that Ivalice is part of the world of FFXIV. In HW, it has been confirmed that moogles have different variants, "cousins" as they call it.

I’m for having new races to the game and moogles are definitely a good choice just like the Viera. What I don’t get is why they added junk like the little fish people NPC’s from the MSQ.

Wrong and wrong again. The 'Ivalice' in Othard is not the literal FFXII/FFT/FFTA world somehow plonked wholesale into Hydaelyn, it's like the Crystal Tower, Costa del Sol, Gold Saucer, Matoya's Cave and other places from previous FF games that have also appeared here in FFXIV - they're just references in name and theme only with Hydaelyn-specific lore. Hydaelyn's Ivalice does not even exist anymore, it's a country that is long destroyed.

And besides, SE themselves all but stated this outright: (yes this information was before the Return to Ivalice raid was added, but it is still appropriate):

And as for the moogles, they're not so much different 'variants' as more the ones in Moghome are the original tribe and the ones on the surface simply split from their society in the distant past (the story of Good King Moggle Mog the XIIth is actually at least partially true, it's a cultural memory of the moogles' diaspora). The two groups are not literally different - physically they're virtually the same, only their culture and naming differ. So that is not proof that FFXII/FFTA moogles can appear as a playable race here in FFXIV either. It's not going to happen.

Succubus/Incubus with wings is better since au ras are more lizards than demons on their look.

After Viera i could go for an old fashioned Dwarf race, but if it needs o be moogles i say it should be like Madeen from FFIX.

It's not going to happen, because no one is going to play them. The vast majority of players play female Mitq'te, Midlander, or Au'ra, and they're virtually identical to normal humans. Races like Roegadyn, Elezen, Highlander, male Au'Ra, and Lalafell are each unique in their aesthetics, build, and presentation...and are all played far less by comparison. If they bring out a beast race, it'd become a waste a resources, with the high preference to cute characters in this game. They will be played far less than Roe. Case and point: everyone wants to request the Viera for FFXIV, another human-like race, over the other bestial races from FFXII, like the Bangaa. Ironically, we see the Bangaa in FFXIV before the Viera.

And don't forget about how all gear will need to be recreated for each and every beast race. Existing gear might be altered to make everyone equal. So I don't see them making moogles or anything non-human playable.

It wont happen... but I wish it would though.

Please no. Have enough Lalas that need to be drowned and burned . Don’t have time for moogles . Jokes aside it would be interesting, but Viera would be a better fit .

Which is why I personally think Lupin have a better chance at becoming a playable race over other Beastmen-like races. They can wear clothes and their feet seem normal from what we have seen. The most trouble SE would have with them is facial expression (different mouth to work with) and head gear.

I've already said this but if they were to make moogles they could probably just save time by reusing the Lala armour.

Though they'd have to extend the arms and cut holes in helmets for ears.

I would change to an Ivalice Moogle asap, and Id never go back kupo. :3
