It was never confirmed nor was it ever denied either the same with the speculation about them removing the myth cap entirely. I guess we'll find out on the 27th.

Apologies, I think his point was, if the static breaks apart before 2.2, then they might not actually have a static for 6-9. Or have to rehash it out finding a new static.

Which is not the end of the world, mind you. But it is frustrating to say the least.

Haha our leader and his g/f put up a "Taking a break, be back when 2.2 comes out" on our FC board last night. Had to pug two for coil. Not a huge deal but yeah even I myself was like bleh I'd rather not pug and just wait till 2.2 comes out. Glad we did it though, that 150 myth for 1-4 on monday night means less CT's for the rest of the week.

Yoshida said it. If it had been something like "eased" or "changed", it could lead to different interpretations; removed is just that though, completely gone.

They removed the lockout, don't recall anything about a loot lockout being put in place. Wouldn't surprise me though. They said CT would not have a lockout. Then they added loot lockout.

I don't see it as that tragic really. It's happening in my FC too but.... eh, things change as the game changes. No biggie.

Is the "No cap on tome of myth" confirmed?

Actually, I think I misunderstood the previous post I replied to. I thought she was referring to mythology, but after reading I think it's about the new tomes. Apologies for the confusion... <.<

I'm 99.9% sure that was confirmed.

Its what's happening to T1-5 that is unknown. I honestly would be surprised in a daily/weekly loot lock-out (would not mind 1 T1-5 item per day lock-out or something like that)

Keeping a lock in coils t1-4 and at the same time removing myth cap makes no sense, why would I do coils if i can
Get same ilvl gear endelessly spaming myth dungeons?

We have 2 full coil groups and 1 new coil group in our FC, we are all really looking forward to the unlock so we can farm the rest of our gears but also help the new people out. Plus a lot of us have alts we can run on versus always the same role, I'm personally looking forward to not tanking it for once lol

this is the way my static group is looking at it. we still do coil, 1, because any gear you get now is less farming to do after 2.2, and 2, we're still working on turn 5.. maybe the 'echo' buff will help a little, but honestly, it's still not going to be an "oh look, I've never done this before, but now I can faceroll through it in 1 shot". the mechanics are still the same, and you still have to learn them.

This is the reason I geared up monk/summoner/black mage/white mage and scholar lately. xD

I believe I read somewhere that Coil T1-5 is now farm-able via DF (cant find article, but I know Mr. Happy commented on it).

Regarding Coil and CT now before 2.2, I will continue to run until 2.2 because as others have mentioned, I haven't hit the ilvl90 gear on any class yet. For others who already have all they need for main and alts, I can see them holding off til the patch. Its really just personal preference. I like gearing and leveling my alt jobs (tho only 2 left). After Ill likely switch to DoH and DoL and level those (once I am done with 2.2 content).

Hopefully they all comeback and this doesn't turn into a permanent break! GL to you OP.

Isn't majority of the coil gear better than Myth? Personally I would i90 my WHM and up-and-coming BLM with Myth so I could take either one in for Coil runs. Sure, it may not be a major jump in stats, but right now, running coil as a PLD, I don't get to "need" any WHM or BLM items so don't have any on the WHM or anything for my BLM when it hits 50. And most people are not happy about the idea of a i76 WHM coming in to heal for them on T4. (Though I have done it already before)

I agree it would be pretty stupid for a loot lock-out on T1-5 if they uncap Myth though.

It's usually a mix and match for mythology and coil for most jobs, and for a few either one or the other (mostly). Scholar, for example, is almost all Hero's/Argute, while WHM is a lot of Allagan. Then there are some pieces that have exactly the same stats, so it comes to luck/vanity decisions, etc.

Good call. Sadly, though, with the not-too-reliable RNG, this requires much farming. Unless you're lucky as hell and gear up in a few runs.

People stopped playing as much or quit outright in my FC as of about a month ago. There's still 4 Coil groups that are together, but essentially they login, finish their Coil turns, and log out for the rest of the week. ESO is drawing folks away as well.

I expect some people I knew to come back once the patch hits, but I know other people just aren't interested in the direction of the game and are waiting a while to come back.
