Promo Art

If it is a new race, it's disappointing that it looks almost exactly like another race to the point where we have to argue if it is or isn't.
I don't want this race to be Miquote 2(Mithra 3).

I do agree that the PLD looks very contorted (like seriously, what is that body part above the Lala's head?) but its just a twist on perspective. The picture may have been changed during creation, and the porportions may not be accurate anymore because of that.

First, and foremost, I am not doing any comparisons with in game models as I know they will look vastly different than the promo art. Also, the section of the waist where the tail would stem from is not covered by the shield, in fact, only the edge of her butt is covered by the shield.

And please, refrain from posting anything as an attack against my character. I would not act that way towards someone drawing me, because I can acknowledge that they are more talented at that particular art that I would ever be (and in fact a couple of my friends have drawn me before, not hired)

As posted, the in game and the art are often very different. So taking this as is right now will likely not end up how we see it in game.

True as that is, I find it extremely unlikely that they'd reveal it this way and for it to come off as another race with slightly different ears. Especially when you consider how different the other races are from each other.
I believe the true race revealed will be much more obviously different. Hell, it might not even be bunny people.

That is also a possibility. They are playing off a mystery aspect in this patch, so if they did things too drastic it would ruin the mystery of it.

I don't claim this a Viera confirmed thread, so if it's not Viera, then it's not Viera. I'm just speculating on this due to the physical and thematic differences between the Miqo'te in promo art and this PLD.
