I'm still excited still...
It's just a boss battle, and it really makes no difference that it is Ifrit... Actually, its rather strange that it is Ifrit. I'm used to fighting him, but only because he's going to be part of my team afterword. I can't remember the summons ever really being antagonists.
I'm excited yes, but it's like getting excited for your birthday (ifrit) when Christmas is around the corner (1.18)
I was always hoping the battle system in XIV would have more dynamic content and more going on.
I had this idea that enemies would be destroying battle fields, spewing poison or fire or acid that became a harmful area to step on. They would have special weaknesses in certain areas of their body or require certain skills to stagger or stun them. I wanted more than just data being calculated server side then results being tallied on our screen.
Imagine if enemies were doing ground pounds sending out shockwaves and it wasn't just whoever was there at the time that was hit, but you had time to evade or if you happened to walk into it after it had begone that you would be hurt.
I don't know man. I just imagined that XIV would be a lot more action oriented and spectacular than what it was. I had really high hopes for it. I really hope they can turn it around.
Anyone else excited for a Gilgamesh fight?
Not excited if it is not to be able to summon it afterwards...
I'm kinda excited about that battle, Ifirt is one of my favorite summons along with Shiva and to be able to fight him, seems awesome to me.
The only thing I would like to see, is that we get something worth the trouble after beating him, like being able to summon Ifrit or getting an AWESOME Ifrit armor themed piece each time we beat it, to make us come back and fight him again to get all the armor pieces for our characters. xD
2-month necro-bump, go!
