As much as I miss it, I understand why we don't have it now. Can the average Joe afford a high end computer? No, which makes it all the more difficult to get SE those subs they need to keep making content. Open World content is coming We have Beastman Tribe quests 4 Tribes come 2.2. Odin/Behemoth.

At some point Frontlines will come into the fray ( Open World PvP for Land). Of course to answer your question I do want Open world content, but I think they are working on that.

While 1000 likes may be a "Tiny majority" of the playerbase, I am going to assume you are somehow omniscient and know what the silent majority wants right? Just because people don't run to the forums and rable like some of us do doesn't mean they are perfectly content with the game.

A few example would be.

-It's not my cup of tea but I enjoy the whole greater than the sum of it's parts so I wont complain.
-I'm not happy and I'll be leaving the game voting with my wallet instead of words.
-We have an official forum!?

You can't speak for the silent majority so bringing up the whole strawman "You guys is just the minority guys" is based on rather shaky ground, unless you shook down every player for their opinion you can't tell us who and who isn't in the minority or majority. We can only base on what we see on the forums it's actual data we can poll from and make analytical statements.

That's the point though? If there are reasons for people to do Open World activities it will be like 1.0. If you are talking about the Seamless zones that will only bring back copy/pasta world.

Also, these days a lot of people don't have much time, so getting the majority of the people to take there 2 hrs to find a party/get to the place/hope you have enough time to do said content.


I personally would love a hybrid model half Hub/open world. Some content open world some in the hub.

Also Treasure Maps/DoL classes are open world stuff as well. ( just thought I say that as well enough though it's not what you are saying.)

This is the more recent thread about open world content.

Lots of great ideas packed into it ^^. Personally I'm also of the variaty that loves a mixture, I understand that some content requires a very rigid structure but also feel the open world should be there for more than just being there and a staging zone for FATES.

DOL is pointless cause crafting is pointless. Treasure maps are supposed to be a treasure hunt but since the locations the chests can spawn is limited and you can memorize them after a week of doing a map party everyday it is hardly what I could call open world.
