Just give him the Excalipoor and he will be on his way.

It wasn't pushing it - XIV was started along with the FNC project (XIII) so it actually makes perfect sense that she'd be in here, much like Shantotto coming in makes absolutely perfect sense as well, considering Atomos exists in this game, anything interdimension makes perfect sense.
In FFXI, Atomos devoured time & space and certain realities - in FFXIV he over aspected the Aetherytes and brought in voidsent from another dimension so in all reality, any FF boss/character could come into Eorzea, especially when Yoshi himself said FFXIV Will be a Fanservice Title.
There's no way to incorporate most of the story/final bosses of any FF game into XIV. About the only ones you could event attempt are Chaos, the Emperor, Cloud of Darkness, Exdeath and Zeromus. Chaos, the emperor and exdeath all deal with some form of universe altering power/other world, cloud of darkness is evil incarnate and Zeromus still exists as Zeromus Malice on the fake moon drifting in space. Could even do a FuSoYa cameo with that one, and a 2.0 dalamud fall with the lunarian's moon descending.
into one of the quest, before Titan, the imperial soldier that heard voice. after the first quest when he talk of him past, he use the name of one of the country of FF12. it's greatly possible that ivalice have some link since this world have often seen time travel and dimensional travel happend.
still while talking of Ivalice, Cloud did appear in FFT, then.... who know.
Lahabrea have said after you beat him, that nothing is over and that the dimensional rift are open... means technically they can bring people from any dimension if the frontier have been open like he said.
no, no, no! Final Fantasy 14 have never been part of Fabula Nova Crystallis... the game part of it are:
- Final Fantasy 13, 13-2, 13-3
- Final Fantasy type 0
- Final Fantasy 15, called before Final Fantasy versus 13
At the start Final Fantasy 14 was make for be part of Vana'diel, but while the process that was abandonned for create a new world. it's why the race look soo much like the one of Final Fantasy 11.
it's in the lvl 15 CS where a soldier says that he comes from Dalmasca, also the Crystal tower was in FFT, but mogs are different in Ivalice and Belias/Zordiark and the other summons are not primal. Unless FFXIV is several thousand years after/before FFXII and tactics so that these changes would be explainable.
Because FF7 isn't guilty of having like 3 spinoffs, a full-length CG movie, a variety of novellae and two short animated movies. If anything is milked to death, FF7 is. Though I'll admit FF13 is getting overly much attention, it's not as horrible as people claim, in my opinion. :p
How about the next random-esque trial be Nael van Darnus in the Minstrel's Ballad?
prefer Levi,Ramuh or Shiva to be the next Trails. Preferably Ramuh since his' egi has been found and I wanna another SMN pet!
Naw, kingdom hearts organization xiii would fit better due to that they can travel between worlds to worlds. Maybe we fight their Absent Solitude as a instances or something like a primal fight!
O.o ................................................er, okay.................o.o
I'd rather see more Weapons for FFVII. Like Emerald, Diamond, Sapphire and Ruby.
or Pyramid Head.
because that is a great sword. not Cloud's pathetic excuse of an overgrown sushi knife with wrong physics. immersion.
Gilgamesh will make an appearance in FFXIV probably in later patches. Concept art and 3D images of it is up on google.

Here's hoping they don't make Gilgamesh into another FATE encounter like Odin or Behemoth. God. Please. No.
They are already going to do a shantoto and dragon quest cemeo, so other characters from other games making an appearance is not too farfetched. The game has been out for a few months now and it already has all this cross marketing going.
It is a shame that FFX didn't get the same treatment.
As long as they remain an option side quest that don't affect the main story then why not?
He will never defeat shinra .... just saying :p
Hell no. No more crossovers.. The lightning one was awkward as hell.
Just look at her

Dem legs D:
Can we just call it "One-winged-Angel" for the q.q ers? Cause trust me, there's a lot of them.
I tried making a topic simmiliar to this and boy people did not like it.
Seriously what a bunch of weirdos.
Since we have "materia" in our world theory could be that a new kind of materia has appeared that could benefit Sephiroth/Jenova and use it to destroy our world and others.
Kind of funny I haven't seen any possible mention of this idea.
I would love this.
Give us Seph's hair & coat as a reward for the encounter, maybe an angel's wing accessory too! Hnnng! So much want.
Go to play KH or something.
Any character in Final Fantasy that has to deal with time travel can be in this game.
Both Sephiroth and Kefka don't use time.
Gilgamesh does, so it make sense he can be here. Ultimecia and Squall could be here. Gogo as well, hopefully to teach us Mime/blue mage.
Isn't there a ghost train in ff 14 already? ;)
I could see them making look alike legatus from these suggestions but the actual characters wouldn't fit imo :P next minstral's battle should be Darnus! >:) (have the minstrel tell the tale of the fight to stop the madman responsible for meteor! =D)
Naaaah 8 should be next, best final boss themeSSS in the series, one of the most epic end fights in the entire saga and one of the best final dungeons with a villain that could very well work.
Ultemica phase 1 - Premonition
Ultimecia phase 2 (Griever Primal is summoned) - The Legendary Beast
Ultimecia phase 3 fight - The Extreme
Ultimecia's Castle - The Castle
A 3 part Ultimecia/Griever fight trying to prevent her from compressing all of time and space so that she can become a god. I can easily see her manipulating and controlling characters in the story to advance her goals much like the Ascians
Also, Necron who is death itself:
I can easily see Nero calling out to NecronQuote:
In Final Fantasy 20th Anniversary Ultimania - File 1: Character Book, Necron is described as, "a being awakened by Kuja's fear, despair, and hatred, which called out to it as he learned of his mortality, just as his ambitions were within reach".
inb4 crono-cross Lavos/Time Eater appearance.
Seriously a Sephiroth appearance is too far fetched. Even if Cloud Appeared in this world already from FFT which both Eorza and FFT are tied to Ivalice, doesn't explain why Areith was were as part of the quest. Likely just fan service and nothing more.
As far as Major Boss fights in the future, id like to see Diabolos, Gilgamesh, Cuja (FF Boss Fight from Super Mario RPG), Emperor, Doom Train, Omega Weapon.
For minor boss fights in new dungeons/ hm dungeons, id like to see Materia Keeper(FF7), Anima (FFX), Zeromus, Hades,
Id also like to see Ruby Weapon return in Sagolli Desert as part of the Gold Saucer Patch.
Yoshi's already said in the past that characters from past FF games will not be appearing as crossover events whose stories are either 'completed' or have been killed off in their respective games. That's a pretty big 'no' for any hypothetical FFVII character crossovers in FFXIV I'm afraid.
And before you pass judgement, the FFXIII crossover and the upcoming FFXI and Dragon Quest crossovers are actually cross-marketing due to respective milestones being reached with those titles (FFXI's eleventh anniversary of service, and DQ Online's first year of service), or to help market a new title (Lightning Returns ~ FFXIII).
On that logic then, maybe when FFVII celebrates it's 20th anniversary in 2017 you might see a FFVII crossover event in FFXIV, but otherwise, no, it won't be happening. So apart from the Lightning event, the upcoming FFXI and DQO events, the Crystal Tower bosses, and a certain dimension hopping sword collector from FFV, it seems to me that will be the limit of past FF character fanservice in XIV.
Lighting only ended up in this game because everybody hates her except for Square Enix (apparently) and they wanted to throw her down our throats one last time so we might buy into the final lackluster entry into the worst FF in history.
....phew.
I'd rather them throw in Gilgamesh or somebody. But I have a hard-on for story consistency, and FFXIV seems to be one of the very few Eastern-developed MMOs that actually takes itself seriously. So i'd much rather an original Eorzean baddie than having them start down the Fanservice train.
Opinions.
ff8 had some annoying mechanics but very good writing and dialogue. Squall is probably the first Final Fantasy character with an attitude the player was intended to dislike. The fact that he managed to make me sympathize with him towards the end is why this game will forever be memorable to me.
FFX has the best consistent storyline and lore FF has ever had, similar to Ivalice anyway. These are also the last characters Nomura designed that I actually liked.
In FFXIII nothing made sense or had any depth, the entire story was built off pitiful melodrama. There was zero interaction with the world, in fact it was so bad that square included a Journal with lore to tell you what the hell you were supposed to be caring about because you'd never figure it out otherwise.
I'd prefer they keep it down with the crossovers.
Lightning was pushing it and the Shantotto event is just crazy. Heck, if they did bring him in (and I REALLY don't want them to) it should only be a temporary event. But God help me if they have his stupid hair or coat as a prise.
