As was Vagrant Story, FFXII, Ogre Battle -- basically anything in Ivalice or directed by Yasumi Matsuno

Akihiko Yoshida and Yoshitaka Amano both do great work. I hope to see many more pieces from them in the future.

He is working as a freelance game project name Phoenix together with Nobuo the music composer.

Don't see why people complain about Namura. he did some of the biggest hits of the final fantasy series, AND designed some of the most known characters of the Final Fantasy Series. Cloud and Tifa anyone? That one game was so popular it launched, as far as my knowledge and research has done, 4 sub games, the Crisis Series and Dirge of Cerberus, and a Movie something no other Final Fantasy title has done to date. And to claim his artwork isn't in the least bit final fantasy is rather idiotic, given the number of titles he has worked on and their successes.

Congrats Yoshida!
If Namura gets in on this I have no issues at all. I like his artwork and his designs. The chances of him being the lead artist is minimal given he has a series of his own to attend to and I would like to see it worked on more.
Plus new artists means more unique looking armor instead of reskins.
Also Yoshida is still supposedly going to participate in this.

Knee jerk reaction much? We know their work, but seriously? got to jump the gun before we actually see what they bring to the table for this game.

Foxclon = Morbol aka the person sitting next to Yoshi-p during live letters.

Psht please! You clearly don't know how to use proper decoy. You either hand tentacles a group of japanese schoolgirls or anything close to it. Which would be miqo'te and hyurs!

You have them distract the tentacles while Santa Bayohne loots the drawing! It's perfect!

Dude, that was so long ago and he came before Yoshida and Nomura....

I love Yoshida's artwork and so glad to hear that he still work with FFXIV.

Nomura is the one I love too. but his artwork match with Realistic Fantasy, Sci-fi Fantasy. don't match with FFXIV's concept. (but I getting bored with his boyband character now... I want the one who like Snow in FFXIII !!!!)

And Amano's artwork is the best !

I'm not saying Amano's art is terrible, he makes some nice covers and whatnot. But his touch is all over the AF and Garleans and it's... /shudder I'd rather anyone but Amano.

Even though it'll probably never ever happen, i'd absolutely loooooove to commission Yoshida one day.

Personally Yoshida>Amano>Nomura.
