Take counter-strike for example. With this mouse I can set it to automatically change sensitivity with one button click OR I can hold down a button to give me reduced sensitivity for the duration the button is pressed.

Also,with the number of buttons I'm not limited by how many macros I can use.

This mouse is more meant for competitive gaming such as: FPS, RTS
This mouse only brings a benefit to games like FF14 in the number of buttons available to use for keybinding / macroing.

Eventually, you will find that the best mouse for playing MMOs is the Razer Naga. It has a steep learning curve and is super annoying at first. After you teach yourself how to use it, nothing is as good. Period. With the right keyboard (by 'right', I mean the Corsair K95) you can keybind the 1-12 keys to the G1-G12 keys AND keep your numerical 1-12 keys on your keyboard. That is the most superior control imaginable for an MMO.

I'll agree the razer naga is a top line mouse. I've owned one previously and loved it until it met it's untimely demise. Rat mmo7 I'd argue slightly beats it out due to the customization you can achieve. One huge downside to the rat mmo7 is it will take you half a day of tinkering to get the proper "feel" you're looking for.

ummm what?? every button on the naga can be customised all 17, they are all nicely lined up and easy to use. soo yea a fully customizable mouse minus the half a day learning curve. id say naga is the winner in that dapartment.

lmao I remember when I had the first razer naga, my friend that had come over burst out laughing and asked if my mouse had a phone on it.

naga is good for sch who need to press 2 button at once.

I think you mistook when I said customizable... customizable in the sense that I can change the weight / texture / size / shape. Not talking about the buttons.... most mouses with this many buttons can be fully customized... that wasn't my point. And the reason it looks like a "transformer" well... it does transform. Every gamer doesn't have the same grip / hand size / needs and this mouse does a good job and allowing it to be suited for it's users needs.

Sure. It might be some no-name MMO to you, but the first MMO I played (Shaiya) I was one of the top PvPers for about 5 years. I am still using the same exact mouse from back then. Wanna know what it is?

It's the player, not the gear. Those companies selling over-priced gaming gear does a good job in their marketing, telling you that you can be pro by using their product, and that all pros uses their product.

Sometimes I think that's why so many people are always mad in this game... if I spent 100$ on a mouse and still sucked, I'd be mad too.

Logitech G600 if you are a really manly bearded viking of asgard that baths with the blood of virgins while defeating T5 alone with a Carpenter level 10.
Any razer if you paint your nails and you are way to worriod about your skin gettin damaged by pressing buttons.

To the people bashing the MMO7. MMO7 is incredible as an MMO mouse, the analog is just impresive and responsive, you can adjust size and support positions, and the drivers are solid and maybe a bit too full of options. It is only bad if you have never used a proper gaming mouse and you are unfamiliar with things like drivers, type of grips and you dont have a proper game place with a good mousepad, etc.

It took me 2 weeks to become comfortable with it, and i love it, but i really love the G600 even more. That said, MMO7 is very good if you want a more universal yet oriented MMO mouse and you dont want to buy 2 mouses for FPS/RTS and other for RPG/MMOs.

You don't need a good mouse to be a good gamer... it just helps. Same thing with performing surgery with a sharp rock vs. a scalpel.

Personally, I swear by my Razer Naga 2012. I've been using Naga mice for years now, (upgrade as new ones come out, etc.) and I couldn't use any other mouse if I tried.

My suggestion would be to buy a mouse like that if you like keybinding to your mouse. Logitech's answer to the Naga is the G600.

I figured if my Naga ever quit on me, I would give that a shot. Logitech is a good brand, so I know that mouse would be a good fit as well just by brand loyalty alone.

So, just check prices and give those a whirl. No matter what, you can always return the ones you don't like.

Edit: As a side note, I would have bought the G600 if they had released before I bought my latest Naga, if that helps with your decision. I use a Logitech G510 keyboard and Logitech speakers, so I'm definitely a Logitech junkie.

the g600 is really uncomfortable IMO. the buttons are in a really flat layout that makes someof them awkward to hit.

the new naga 2014 curve is really comfortable to press the buttons. pictures of the mouse make it look really funky but it feels good in your hand. I've owned most any logitech, razer, madkatz, and various other mouse brands at some point and I'm seriously in love with the naga 2014. the mechanical switches are also a really nice touch.

and seriously. many people laugh off devices like this:

but it will completely change the way you play pretty much any game. getting used to a thumbpad over WSAD takes some time, but once you do you can't really go back. replacing a three finger function (wsad) with one finger (thumb) and then opening up those 3 fingers plus your pinky finger to easily hit 20 keys is no joke.

Its a thing of grip, a friend of mine cant use the g600 for that reason too. A shame, there is no universal mouse right now (MMO7 the only thing that comes close)

But yeah, having more than 20 buttons on your thumb is just incredible, there is no way to go back after setting free your left hand.

yeah. I have a few peeps that swear by the g600. I could use it bit it just wasn't comfortable. my friends that use the g600 have really big hands though., so maybe its an issue of hand size?

I just got the naga 2014 when it was on sale for $50 at Newegg.Com. I have to say its the best mouse I've ever had. This mouse is almost unfair to play on its so good for mmo's but its really good for battlefield 4

I got the g600 mouse, the 12 buttons is a bit much but I only use the first 9 so 18. Took me about 2 weeks of embarrassing fails in ak and other events but finally got it. But I felt something was missing so I got the Razer Nostromos keypad and holy sH!t this combo is amazing, I have everything I need right were I need it. It's hard to describe how my gaming experience changed with the g600 + Razer nostromos keypad, I recommend it for anyone that's willing to fail at basic stuff for a while.

That's a poorly thought out oversimplification. The reason you want all of the buttons on the mouse isn't so you can press multiple buttons at a time, it's so that you can have many commands available with just one hand.

Think about it: #'s 1-12 on your action bar are all able to be pressed with your right thumb. For most classes, your entire rotation is do-able without using your left hand. This leaves you open to map other commands (macros, instant-casts, etc.) to your left hand. There is never a reason to click any action button ever.

I use a logitech g600 and I can really recomend it, but it does have 20 buttons total so..

You might wanna check MotionJoy - an application used to connect your PS3 controler to the PC. Here's a bit of a tutorial about how to set it up. I haven't used it for this game but have used it for other games in the past.

I love my Orbweaver ^_^ I have been using it for months after upgrading from the N52te. It really does make keybinding so much easier and comfortable.

On a related note, I will be upgrading to the Ouroboros later this month!
