"Sign"... I could find group (const group) for Coil, and, as I dont see any aim, but clean Coil, I'm leaving the game. Maybe my clan is not so good as I thought, but maybe the situation in other clans much more worse. THe patch 2.1 will not change situation for me. I dont see anything good in this patch for me- I meen it is not the content I wait for. I dont want to wait Coil nerfing, because I want to chase it now, while it is rather hard. Yes, be pleased- my threads and comments will not nerve you any more^^

I think you'll need a melee DD in coil for the single targeted LB. People tend to go with DRG because it also buffs bard if they're on same target and bard is a safe choice, as is DRG, if you compare that to MNK players who often don't know how to deal proper damage with their job.

I do agree that the heavy circular AoE is part of the reason melees are only reluctantly chosen for PUG parties. From what the reps posted, SE plans to address it in the next patch in one way or another. (Contrary to people claiming a dmg buff/drg buff is incoming - we don't know what they plan to do yet)

We use a Monk in our Coil group. Sounds like a personal problem.

tanking and healing keeps me busy, and I do like DPS, just not as much

IDK what the attraction is to DD. You sit behind in the flank and do your rotation. The health bars are so big that your individual damage isn't even tangible (seeing as the health just chips away with 4 or 8 people pounding on it). I'd much rather worry about aggro and buff management etc :3

Considering the OP also made the two "monk is weak" threads, I am inclined to agree. But maybe it's really the overabundance of DPS and those slots filling up quickly (compared to healer, tank).
