How can we be sure SE bans the right person for exploits if there's no transparency?

Its not what you been saying its you're unwilling to listen to anyone who does not agree with you or fall head over heals in love with your story .
I am saying , I believe you to be a smart person , you are acting like everyone around you is not.
You played the game , likely (giving you the benefit of doubt) gambled and sold items for prices that were too high for the Average if not most Characters , and those items were bought using Dirty Money.
SE took your Dirty Money earned from Gil Buyers ................... You see no one knows what happened ,
SE is a FOR PROFIT Company and by the Standards of Profiting they are not going to Punish a Innocent Customer for nothing ..........

The bugs are usually reported in the patch notes that comes after they have fixed it.

To release information about a bug that has not been fixed will instantly kill the game. People will keep using the exploit until it is fixed. Once these people are punished, they blame SE because they still used the exploit knowing that it was against the rules.

Like the bug people found to defeat turn 5. Instead of leaving the instance, these players continue to play out the encounter until they defeat the boss. They get the loot then say it's okay because they reported it.

People forget a lot of HACKED accounts are exploiting. So a wall of shame saying that play XXXX YYYY hacked using Z method isn't helpful once that person has their account restored - they will be blacklisted and be known as an exploiter who might have simply had their account stolen.

lol, ok first off why do you need to know who the cheater was? Secondly, in game currency doesn't just go to players, a huge chunk of it goes to NPCs and thats the end of the road for it ...

Not to mention gil isn't like an item and isn't transfered as such. You don't get banned because somewhere down the line you run into bad currency aka *funny money* rofl

When an exploit is discovered that can be used to give players an unfair advantage, or possibly damage the game, the first strategy is to mitigate the damage by preventing as many people as possible from finding out about it and using it, until they have a fix. And even then they will be vague about what they fixed.

We all have entered into an agreement with SE when we agree to the TOS to play the game. We have not entered into an agreement with each other, so we actually have no right to know the infractions and punishments of others. If people interested in playing ARR, were aware that if they mess up they could be exposed to public humiliation, how many people would buy the game? SE simply needs to address the trouble makers privately. Why would we need to know anyway?

I can probably PM you, because I'm pretty sure I'd get forum banned for sharing an exploit.

Well, think about selling 99 Allagan gold pieces every 30 seconds, depends on how long you wanted to repeat it.. It seems to be a hack of some sort. I'm not very sure what he does..

Also, this is fixed according to the poster of the video, what I was arguing about is how SE kept quiet about it and letting this gil flood the economy (possibly?)

I get where you're coming from, anyway if I didn't see the video I wouldn't have believed it too. He's clearly using some 3rd party software (he showed the interface of it) and if you said anything about it being client sided, I see people running around in the video.

I'm sorry but the exploit has to due with SE sever security the change in those items are a direct result. It is something no one should do as we are all playing a the game for fun not to cheat as to the last part you im sorry but you are incorrect.
