Ah ok cool. Well I recall gaining anywhere from 100 to 150 webs from when I did that triple leve in Quarry so this makes me excited for moving into this because hqing linen hats was getting boring :D

Coerthas. Three leves you can turn in there at the Observatorium, level 35 Linen. The one that you can pick up in Ul'dah nets you 97k XP for a HQ turn in of a single linen hat, not even counting the other two. You're welcome. :)

Triple XP for HQ (that's where the 97K figure comes from), three turn-ins per allowance.Quote:
Party Animals - Town - 3 Linen Deerstalker - 32049 xp, 486 gil
RMT, bots, cheaters, gil buyers are like a disease. If you don't treat it at its early stage then it'll keep spreading until the body can no longer sustain itself and die.
I don't want this game to die, but if the disease don't get treated soon then it'll be too late.
level 50 weaver, skipped fleece, and use the ones i get from linen rewards are used the high level recipes i need to make that involve fleece
i really wish they'd add more spawns for mobs that drop important items for crafting.
Just 50'd my weaver today 41-50. Leves were faster/cheaper than fleece ever could've been, stock up on deerskin stalkers and keep tossing them at roarich, 50 in no time, 100k exp for 3 HQ hats.
I am skipping fleece stage entirely I am just going to do linen and pick up fleece if its available through the level 40 leve and I was going to get diremite from the level 25 leve triple turn ins.
My FC has a Weaver who never had to use Fleece to get to 50. Amazing.
Also, you guys are all blind. There are FAR MORE than just 6-7 Karakuls in Coerthas, and that's because you try to farm the SAME BLOODY spots as they are right outside the door. You never bothered exploring. You don't know there are like 6-7 OTHER Karakul tromping around near the Observatorium, do you? THERE ARE! Amazing, huh? Now get the f**k back out there, stop whining in here, report the bots, and get on with your lives.
I'm on Cactuar and I grabbed a bunch of fleece just today. There was a bot out there, but I just provoked and managed at least 30% of the damage on it and pop, I get fleece too. 2 per kill. The bots don't seem to be able to fight for arggo, so use a tank and pull that sheep.
Holy Carp! Zawashi Blackwolf was the bot I was messing with earlier today. Spamming trade worked once, but it didn't last very long before he canceled and insta-gibbed a nearby diremite.
Just funny to see a video of the same bot I saw while gathering. I just reported and moved on. Sucks, but not much we can do.
How to get fleece without camping or competing against RMT:
(video is still a few minutes away from being live according to youtube estimation at the time of posting)

thank you, busta. The more ways we can get fleece without using the marketboards the better!
Why did you make a 6 minute video for this when all you have to say is that the level 40plus levels can reward fleece?
forgive me but for my own knowledge, what/where is the leve that spawns sheep?
There are actually 2-3 other areas sheep spawn to the south the main area they spawn near dragonhead.
However, there are generally 3-4 other people already there.
It's a lame material to gather considering the rest are from Botany, it doesnt make sense.
This strange producer Yoshida said at release he couldnt speak
but must return to play FF14 cause of big fun..so Yoshida( oh sry, you cant understand, you only speak japanese):
- Farm Fleece
- Grind Botanics
- Grind Fates at Lvl 42,43, 46-49
- Get half of the Exp for Quick Synthesis
- Start your Pc (NOT YOUR DAMN PS3) every hour new
- Go into 1 dungeon all the time in YOUR STUPID ENDGAME
and have fun---hahahahaha
I remember in Ultima online you just sheered the sheep and didn't kill them...I wonder why we can't do that...And once housing arrives...how about sheep we can keep on our land? Hmm could be fun.
It's 8 sheep , and are you sure they are bots? It gets extremely frustrating, I give you that. However I go there and farm fleece every now and then as well , it can be a pain in the butt if you get there and someone else is already there and knows exactly when and where they will spawn, so its your job to figure out a way to disrupt that pattern and take over with a new one. Don't say it can't be done, because I do it often. Is that bullshit we have to do that, steal spawns from people or hoard a camp of sheep for hours, hell yeh it is, but we have no choice if we want to progress reasonably. Blame SE , not the players.
I have been accused of botting multiple times, 2 nights ago for my last fleece run it was just me and one guy holding them down. some other guy couldn't deflect us from our pattern so he decided to keep trying to open trade with us , and after that failed he informed me that I was a Bot and he was reporting me.. lmfao. He then went over to the other guy farming and did the same thing.. we were not botting, we were effectively farming, nothing wrong there. me and him had a good ol laugh about it after.
I just want the botters & teleporters to go away. I'm fine with them limiting the sheep spawns.
Guess it's finally time to sell the stacks of fleece I have from 1.0, then!
This is why I spent the last couple weeks in 1.0 using the old leatherworking recipe to get fleece from sheepskin.
Wish they would bring back that recipe, and another one that is similar for snurble tufts.
And to the people who say that there's more than one spawn point. Yes, there is more than one spawn point. But they are ALL camped to within a millisecond of spawning. ><
fleece is now 200gil each on my server
I'm done beating on this dead horse.
Square either don't care or can't fix it. 2 tiers of Weaver, Wool and Felt require fleece and they bottlenecked it for the RMT folk. It was awful nice of them.
I hit the Wool recipes on my weaver the other day. I tried to go farm some, but no luck...every time I try there's a ton of people fighting over the sheep. I decided to stick with the linen leves as long as possible. Diremite web wasn't as big of a deal for me because I got plenty from the leves in Quarrymill.
I don't even have the gil to buy it! Its so overpriced most of the time.
same here I've decided to just Linen my way up to 50...I did buy some fleece to make armor for my scholar but I bought it from someone who was only selling 3 stacks of 10...rather than the guy selling like 10 stacks of 99 (obviously a bot)
Fleece isn't necessary for leveling.
But it is necessary for creating undyed woolen cloths and undyed felt, which you will need for many 1 star recipes. So the problem of sheep botters still stands, and I really hope Square Enix does something about it. Every time I go to one of the sheep spots, I always find a teleporting bot (usually in the southeast location that most people don't know about).
Reported a couple on Excalibur just standing there shooting down them as they spawn. That was a week ago and they're still now, even putting on different items to spiritbond with for bonus gil, its insane.
i cant believe Wkc2 server been shut down and this game is popular... PATHETIC
Something does need to be done about this, it's kinda silly how limited they are. I check every time I'm in Coerthas now and there's always at least a couple of people standing around on the spawns.
100 members of my Free Company, me, and an unknown amount of others at the time reported two teleport bots gathering fleece over a week ago. They're still there.
I've come to the conclusion that SE has no sense of professionalism when it comes to the client aspect of their products
Since we are on the same server. I just pull the Goobue next to the botter before the sheep respawn. Let the Goobue do its conal sneeze while you move and avoid it. This paralyzes the botter and makes them attack the Goobue. Claim the sheep and get your fleece.
I do this if I need some for Crafter/Gatherer AF to outfit a FC member. I don't recommend it for lvling Wvr, to much time. I also reported them a week ago, 2 of them are even hacked accounts.
The game seems to be infested with bots and "customer support" doesn't do anything even though you try to report said bots. I reported one guy harvesting Flax and Oak logs down at South Shroud. Noticed him teleporting around every once in a while and harvesting a lot faster than what is normally possible. The guy was lvl 31 when I reported. 4h later the guy is still there, lvl 43. That requires tens of thousands of harvests with the level difference.
I'll give the game one more month of my money, if the bots aren't dealt during that, it's game over for me. It's kinda disheartening to see some bot teleporting around and harvesting 10 times the items you do and get away with it.
Maybe I should start using hacks too? Hell, If nothing happens I just might even though I hate cheating. Nah... I'll just quit and find something better to do.
