Fleece no longer an option

Bad news for Weavers...Bots have so overrun the 6 sheep for fleece it's almost impossible to get them. Now they sell for 60,000 gil for 99 pieces.

Good news is, say screw it and level to 50 on Linen and Leves.

I used to take a FC group out and get the fleece and compete against the bots...now the bots added the gathering teleportation method to the mods. Meaning they instantly teleport on top of the mob and agro instantly. With a full group this is even near impossible.

We reported three bots four days ago using this method (almost 3/4 of all the bots are using the teleportation instant agro method now). Today we tried to get about 99 pieces of Fleece to gear up our FC. Those same three bots were still there...this was after our FC group of five reporting them as well as 10 others who witnessed them doing it.

Competing against others is fair game. Competing against a teleport instant agro bot is not.

1. When we report these bots...please look into it.
2. Add more options other than 6 or 7 sheep
3. Weavers: Do not give the bots the time, day, or gil. Skip fleece and do Linen to 50 and then try to gather some later for the later gear

pretty crazy if its really only 6-7 sheep in the entire world that drop fleece when in 1.0 fleece was easier to come by and much cheaper lol.

That's fine...if you are near end game weaver ok...make it challenging to get it. I understand that. It's fine with me.

what I don't like is the bot 2.0. The bot 1.0 used to grab mobs near them and you had a fighting chance with a group to pull them from the bot. Bot 2.0 will literally teleport on top of the mob with an instant agro pull. literally the millisecond the mob pops it's purple and the bot isn't even there yet...then one second later the bot teleports on it.

We reported them since Tuesday...same ones are still there.

It is not. There are at least 8 up near dragonhead, 4 on each side. Then down on the east side of the observatorum there are 7.

So that's 15 total. Usually about 4 camps although some people sit on a single spawn point >.>

You could always farm snurble tufts, sell, and buy fleece. Pretty even trade at least on my server - since tufts are much easier/faster to get.

the karakul are sorta like banemites where there's a subset of them that are slightly higher level and those are the ones that drop it.
They honestly should just put back the 2 sheepskin gets a handful of fleece leatherworker recipe again

or better yet just do something about the incredibly hardcore level of RMT botting going on

I really hope that before I reach the fleece range of Weaver that they add fleece to more mobs to counteract this.

Its ridiculous that only 6 mobs in the entire world (well, mobs outside of "instanced" content) drop fleece. Hell, they should add these sought after drops to Guildhests to give players a reason to do them more than once.

So Glad I have 8 stacks of fleece ^_^

Oh and there are more than 6 Karakuls spawning in the area, 8-10 I'd say ( I know 9 for sure, but I've seen Karakuls in a diff area of Coerthas, just never bothered to check how many Karakuls spawned there).

I'm on Cactuar and I grabbed a bunch of fleece just today. There was a bot out there, but I just provoked and managed at least 30% of the damage on it and pop, I get fleece too. 2 per kill. The bots don't seem to be able to fight for arggo, so use a tank and pull that sheep.
