Bazzar/Market ward prices.

yes they are using it for storage and yes it uis irritating. There wouldn't be a space issue if ppl were not pack rats. Instead of saving everything sell it off and hunt it on a need by need basis. This gives you something to do and opens up space. I'm just startinng and I find it annoying to see it. When I was checking out the wards ( i like them btw music is kitchy cool and it beats standing at a window) i was looking for some updated gear as I was bored waring the starter look. I go to the wards and look for some ow level gear most of it is 10K-99999999 and most of the peices are 999999999. This making the market wards pointless. in ffxi we didn't have that much space. Yet we made due. So far we have 100 slots and some stuff can be stacted up to 999 << never was in ffxi.

in ffxi if you bought the token you got another bag. think it was 80/80/80 for character space. then 70/70 for mog house. honestly though all ppl are doing are wasting retainer slots. A few ppl did this in ffxi with the AH.

Not everyone is a pack rat though. Although you can equip any gear you want, you need a set for each discipline. Crafting and Gathering you can usually use the same set, but for DoW and DoM, you need those sets as well. Also gotta have the equipment at the optimal rank, and the crafting materials for those complex crafting recipes. There is simply not enough storage space, given that you have 200 total +20 for bazaar slots. Some people that are selling at a reasonable price still doesn't guarantee the sales.

One solution to this could be the introduction of a Mog House storage system, or perhaps open an Auction House, which is strictly meant for selling items.

When people do this with gear, I've found that they are doing it to dress their retainers. You'll find a well-dressed retainer selling groceries, for instance, with three pieces of maximum priced gear in the bazaar. You can't choose your retainer's gear without putting that gear up for sale in the bazaar.

It actually is kind of convenient sometimes. I wasn't sure whether I wanted to craft myself a cotton sugarloaf hat, but said grocery selling retainer was wearing one. His display helped me decide. :)
