    Bazzar/Market ward prices.

Could anyone explain why it seems to be so common for people to put basic items in their bazzar or in the market ward for millions of gil?

    Copper ores for 999,999,999?

I just don't understand why anyone would want to do this, especially in the market ward. In a bazzar at least you could speak to the player to ask if they were really selling it and arrange a less stupid price. Not that they would reply since they have been sat in the same spot since release and not moved.

In the market ward you can't do that, so seriously what is the point?
There isn't that many items being sold in there so it just adds to an already annoying system when you manage to find an item you want and it's millions of gil.

I know players did this with bazzars in FF XI but i very rarely saw it in the auction house. I mean after all, what is the point it's never going to sell.

I really hate looking for things to buy for more reasons than just this. I hope we get an auction house one day.

use the item search feature, it tells you the price ahead of time, also people are likely doing that for storage purposes or something, its probably the other items they want to sell

Maybe they are hoping some rich idiot might accidentally push the "buy" button.

Their out of inventory space and putting them in their bazar. They don't want to sell them just save them.

When you can level every job thats a crap load of items you need to synthesize also Armor and weapons, so they do it.

I hate using a retainer for storage. That wasn't what they were intended for, everything i give to my retainer i want it to be stuff i want to sell. I would like to store items somewhere else like a MOG HOUSE! You know some ancient 9 year old game called FF XI even managed to have something as basic as item storage....

Not everyone is a pack rat though. Although you can equip any gear you want, you need a set for each discipline. Crafting and Gathering you can usually use the same set, but for DoW and DoM, you need those sets as well. Also gotta have the equipment at the optimal rank, and the crafting materials for those complex crafting recipes. There is simply not enough storage space, given that you have 200 total +20 for bazaar slots. Some people that are selling at a reasonable price still doesn't guarantee the sales.

One solution to this could be the introduction of a Mog House storage system, or perhaps open an Auction House, which is strictly meant for selling items.
