as a conjurer/white mage i wouldn't feel slighted at all if someone rolled need on a tank item to turn them into seals. luck of the draw. if you don't feel the same then i feel sorry for you. if i can get an item and use it i will need all i want.

I'll only hit need if it's an immediate upgrade, else Its greed or pass. ^_^

Yeah, it's not like multiple classes can be played on the same character or anything... oh wait.

I think communication is the issue, If you let people know that you need the equip then most people will let you have it

So can everyone else in the group, but they cannot need on it. If it was to go to the role you are on currently, then I have no issue someone needing it. But if it goes to Seals/Gil/Materia before going to your current role? Now you're just being selfish, as the op stated.

Needing the item to use on your current role, benefits everyone in that group to some degree. Needing it for seals or whatnot, only benefits you.

Because FATEs don't easily give you double the seals in far less time? Yeah, you'd still be a dick in this case.

Why do people care so much? ._. Lot Need on everything you can lot and want, lot Greed on everything you can't lot Need on and want, and Pass if you don't give a sh*t about the item. Never mind the reason why you want it. Easy as pie, end of story.

Oh and before someone labels me as greedy or something, I pass nearly all items in all dungeons, however, this is still the standard I'd like everyone to follow and I will not complain if someone beats my Need lot for some item I really want even if their reason for lotting it would be nothing else than YOLO.
