True, it doesn't add much clarity but we don't have much to go on anyway. The only thing we truly have is Yoshi-P saying he wants to improve party play but doesn't want people losing game time by waiting on parties.

That's more like role-imposing than role-playing (classicaly speaking).
And I would never presume to know which is better. It's a value judgment anyway, not a factuality. People like different things. And different people will prefer one over the other.
I personally prefer the first of the two options, but even so, such a concept can still be implemented in a way which I would disagree with. For example, FFXIV was rather bad upon release even though I liked the overall scope. I put up with the issues because I saw potential in the game when and if those issues could be resolved.
However, it's a different story nowadays. Now that the game seems directed toward Option B, I have to say I'm less excited about the future of the game, but I think I could still find enjoyment in it, maybe.
I think those new camps are for the new Hamlet Defence system that's coming. They said they were making new camps for it. I think it will be like Campaign from FFXI where we fight for the territory, when it's in our control we have our camp on it, when the beastmen have it then it will be there camp.
Well it's not like anyone even knows where the fuck SE is taking FFXIV anyway. Im not even sure if THEY know. They are so confused by the mixed messages players are sending them. And the bad release has affected them, forced them to second-guess every single one of their ideas. Basically theyve just started pandering to the status quo, rather than trying to innovate. But that's besde the point anyway, and now im just rambling.
To get back on track, however, I should like to say that SE really needs to address threads like this one. If not for players, then at least for themselves.
