the big dmg only comes every 90sec.

And, since you can't activate multiple off GCD abilities simultaneously, it'll actually take between 5 (if you don't attack and just click the CDs) and 10 seconds (if you activate the CDs in between attacks) to get all of those CDs active. If you're using Inner Beast as an emergency heal, you've got a comparatively tight window to stack up all of the CDs required to maximize its effectiveness.
If you are questing dont use defiance unless you got multiple mobs or tanking a fate boss. Otherwise use it to offset huge bursts. Like right after a hard hitting attack. Like irritating double breaths and Garuda cleave. Especially during add phase on Garuda, it's the only wAy a war is viable.
I've yet to see a single boss that does anything truly dangerous for the first 15-20 seconds of a fight. You've got more than enough time to build up to 5 Wrath stacks before you need to use Inner Beast>Infuriate. Burning Infuriate on the run in would be like burning a potion on the very first hit: it's really not appropriate because your not actually pressured at that point.
Best use of Inner Beast is to use it in your rotation but like this. Use Inner Beast for the big hits or when the healer needs to raise or heal someone else and then infuriate to regain stacks if available immediately afterwards. If not then use the +20% to healing skill and build the stack back up manually and there you go. You never actually lose the healing buff but still don't just hold onto a skill to never use it. Also other alternative rotations would be bloodbath and the +def % skill, or bloodbath and thrill of battle skill.
Most warriors tank incorrectly which is why people think they suck. While pld the healer burst heals because of the high mitigation and the warrior needs constant medium heals and should not freak out and burn all his/her skills for one "big hit." Meaning spread your CD's out and you will notice you are more survivable. Warrior is the thinking man's paladin. ~.^
The best way i have figured to use it is in this situation:
- Right after a high DMG hit, and ONLY if Infuriate is up
The reason for this is you want to keep the %healing buff from being infuriated always up. You really only want to use Inner Beast to help the healers mana costs some. Right after you use IB, you'll want to use Infuriate to get the buff back.
