Battleping for EU players

Exactly, it creates a VPN tunnel. Pinging a server in CMD is not the same as creating a VPN to tunnel data more efficiently than your ISP.

Pro tip - Open CMD and type tracert -d 199.91.189.74

This will tell you how many hops and how long it takes you to get to the NE/EU servers. You can then download the trial for Battleping and do the same to see if it is actually an improvement or not.

I have some friends using this that have reported a 30%+ improvement in their ping. I'm only at 90-100 from the UK to the NA/EU server base so I haven't tried it myself yet. But hey, if it can knock me down to 70 why not?

Dont use cmd for that, got better programs for doing traceroutes. Me want shiny, colourful graphs instead of a black screen with white numbers on it.

Indeed but that comment wasn't just aimed at you and the average user will have enough trouble using CMD let alone anything else.

Yup no improvement here, 107ms with and 107 ms without.

107ms isn't bad from Europe, SE still need to fix their AoE circles to sync with cast bars :S

Also a ping to the servers doesn't really help if SE's servers have bad infrastructure and netcode.
