You think you are "Hardcore/Elite"?

Yeah, when I did my first run to end the story, this dbag tank was telling everyone to skip the cutscenes and run past certain mobs and just raging at everyone at every boss. When I went back and did it again with my friend who had got there, I just told everyone watch the cutscenes if you want, I'm not going to rush you, waited to explain each boss as we got to them, everyone got to get in their magitek armor and go down the hallway together, it was a much better experience than when I just walked down an empty corridor trying to catch up to everyone. And we beat it with 6 new first timers with no deaths faster than the guy rushing everyone through cutscenes. Just glad I'm a whm, because he wasn't dumb enough to start bosses without me.

edit: realize I didn't make a good point, the point is I got first timers through something faster than this "pro" because I used my big boy words.

I go through moods. On one hand I like teaching people. On the other hand if I'm using the duty finder... I can't use this thing for networking as you're probably on some other server. I'll probably never run with you again so in the time I take to teach you something I'm only investing in that one run... no chance or re-playability.

Something like Caestrum we did 60 runs of (me (a SMN), a PLD and WHM pal of mine) and we had chat macros explaining every fight and every weird pull that happened in there. We didn't care if you watched the cut scenes... but we begged you to skip the two oddly placed ones at the very end with the ship raining down firery death and the two sword man cross cleaving your face. They don't add much to plot and SE really needs to create a better transition there.

At the end of the day there's no reason for me to be rude but there's equally no reason to be altruistic. Definitely a Catch 22.

I agree with Edwin, they should be called Rushers. I would think an elite player would do there damn best to pull out a win with the players they're grouped with. Basically they turn into big babies as soon as their tomes per hour goes too low.

Can't be hardcore in a non hard core game tbh. You don't lose exp when you die, you don't have to stay on to recover your corpse or lose all your high level items because raid repops. There are no pks to contend with that can loot your items.

It's a casual game, if you don't enjoy the story or journey it seems a bizarre game choice. Similar to anti-rpers playing on a specified rp server in other games, happens all the time though.

You may want to read Catch-22 again. I believe one of the themes in that book was "Personal Integrity".

I concede it was one theme but did you forget the influence of greed? My time is worth more than your time. I can value that over my personal integrity.

Hardcore/Elites now are working on building their characters before hitting endgame after their main storyline because they know there are still things that need to be done before hitting endgame such as getting the money to support endgame run's repair bills, cross-skills that will help make their Job role more effective, and working on their crafts and gathering to provide the supplies and currency for any future endgame stuff and supplies.

How can anyone hate X-2?? It's honestly one of my favorites due to how crazy silly it is and it makes no apologies for it. You don't know how much i hope they add some of those outfits in here.

I really did not like Milo. If I was Yossarian, I would have punched that douchebag in the face for killing my friends. He was just trying to make a profit though. And it's not like he was directly involved in their deaths.
