If by easy you mean "if you have loads of money".
Considering the best way to get the tombs you need is AK and is a gear check itself....

problem is gearscore wont fix bad players w/ bad skills or bad attitudes.
And on another note a lot of darklight gear for its ilvl isnt even that good. the Crafted ilvl gear w/ a few materia are far superior for most jobs.
people act like idiots/assholes during instances because they believe there is no repercussions to it.
FINALLY repair costs are acknowledged!
Anyone who starts by shouting "Oh no, Im gonna be restricted! Skillz iz bettar then gearz! Uwwwaaahhh!" needs to actually reach the endgame content. Things like Castrum, Praetorium, Keep and Palace? Those won't be affected because having your AF is fine and dandy for them and each one of those are entry level so the restrictions won't be harsh (At most I see them requiring level 40+ gear) but the Hard Mode primals and Binding Coil of Bahamut are entirely different beasts. I don't see Ifrit being too restricted either because you can kill him pretty easily as long as you can destroy the nails in a timely manner and interrupt his Eruption when its up.
After Ifrit is where things get dicey. You can dodge AOEs, cones, have a perfect rotation, etc but if you cannot put up the damage to finish off Garuda after the eye of the storm, ever 10 seconds adds to your chance of wiping. Then you have Titan where, honestly, you cannot use the Duty Finder. If you don't have at least 4 pieces of Darklight (3 if you went for the tank pants and chest) and at least the lvl 49 jewelry and Ifrit weapon you are going to wipe and will never beat him. He puts out way too much damage for base AF gear to even mitigate.
Just face it, people are already asking for you to do Titan with at least 4 DL pieces and for good reason.
EDIT: Forgot to mention that if you Duty Finder Titan, every group usually has that one special kid who got carried through Ifrit and Garuda with a lot of 38 or less gear. Guess who is the first to die?
I was trying to do Garuda hard for the first time, wiped a few times and had to re-queue for another (since a pld that couldn't keep hate force d/c'd after calling us a 'fail grp'), wiped once with new group, and a real piece of work DRG decided to go /sit in a corner while calling people idiots. I said 'someone wants to get reported for griefing...' and on the next run he bucked up. Not before I reported him though.
In order to get that crafted gear at the level of darklight you have to overmeld it and with how expensive rank 3 materia is, you are better off going for Darklight. It takes less time to get Darklight than it does to get the materials to craft said items because most of the gear requires stuff like Coke or Animal Fat (Which also requires tomes)
I've only had 1 bad experience from a Pug in regards to gear. I was healing lvl 50 dungeon and accidentally left my lvl 18 neck when I switched jobs. I entered the instance and within seconds the DPS says "great. healer is a fucking casual." after I replied with "??" he proceeded to belittle me because I have a low neck piece and didn't have full Darklight gear. He then left the group. I promptly switched neck, told the Tank and DPS, we requeued and got another DPS without such high standards.
Unfortunately I think gearscore could encourage this type of behavior in a small group of people. Fortunately we got a big ignore function and there is more than enough population in Duty Finder to replace them.
Iv had afew experiences where the other DPS wernt at adique levels, like pulling 70DPS and such, like tank level DPS, making some fights more hassle than they need to be.
The only real problem iv had is one tank on ifrit wearing paper armour that had been drenched in gasoline, he would take 50% health damage each swing, out full darklight healer couldn't keep him up :/ ofcourse when he died he proceeded to be abusive.
