Transfering items and gil without a mailbox or trading

This is another issue that could be easily resolved. They could even keep using that ugly blue UI they have for all I care, I just want a means to exchnge things between toons.

How is the buddy key a solution? Doesn't that only work for a month?

There you go, 300-2100 more inventory space, depending how many characters you made. Just remember, it's all free for now, but you may have to delete your other characters when they start charging and you don't want to pay a higher monthly fee.

I do the same thing, but instead of putting my valued items up for one gil I put them up for higher than market price. I only lose a small amount of gil to taxes, and this way I don't lose my items to someone else.

I used to ask my boyfriend for help, but I feel bad asking him to help me move so many things. I find this way to be easiest right now, and don't mind the small tax. Gil is plentiful anyways.

The item u just put on a retainer usually do not appear in the search option for a few minutes. I tried it before putting an item for sell than doing a search for the same item and none appeared on the list.

If you're poor like me, putting things up for more than market price can get expensive =( If you're lucky enough to have 2 PC's that can run FFXIV and you own 2 credit cards (to create your guys on completely separate accounts) you could have both characters online at once and all your problems are solved :P

SE should fix it for us...you'd think its in their best interests to do so since more people will pay for alts if they can easily trade back and forth.

Screw mailboxes i want carrier pigeons instead. :p

if you already have items on your alt character there is an easier method. i only put bulk items on my alt such as stacks of wood/cotton bolls/nuggets. if you already have a stack on your alt and want to transfer more then just put the item up as a search for a stack of them for one gil. if someone wants to sell you a stack for 1 gil while signing into your alt then so be it you got free mats almost. this way you are searching for a stack of iron nuggets for 1 gil instead of selling it in wards for 1 gil.

the way you suggested worked well pre search patch, but it is very risky to do that now. i stopped doing it after i lost a full stack of toad skins.

What are they going to do with all the Characters and retainers when SE starts charging? Pay extra 3 $ for each extra Char and 1 $ for every retainer?? If SE doesn't give you the option to get the remaining 8 Retainers before they start Billing and you want to keep your items on your other characters that's going to be an exspensive first moth's bill.
Ya i know people have been doing this and thats great. As for me i'm going to stick with one Character and the two retainers till i can get a couple more.

i will be keeping mine as i only have 1 character. i had heard rumor for 1$ a month per retainer and if that's the case i'd get 3 or 3 retainers and keep my alt and be set to go.
