ffxiv on ps4 beta news

I'm all kinds of hyped even though I really expected it anyway. and I too am super glad I will already be having a ps4 for several months at that time (poor Japanese :( )

ALSO.. I'm kind of surprised the PS4 beta will already start in February because I honestly expected the game to not come out on ps4 before the game's been out for at least a year. granted, a starting beta in February can still mean a beta of 6 months but I doubt it :P

LETS NOT 4GET ABOUT PS4's CHAT FUNCTION!!! thats what im looking forward to. can already see a shitload of ps4 only FC's being made.

Nothing official but I'd take "PS4 beta" to mean that it will be the same characters and worlds we're on now. They'll just be testing the client to make sure everything is working such as Remote Play, sharing, and the other PS4 'features' that it will bring with it.

Nice to know that it'll be free, knowing that I already paid for my PS4. Another free game to add to the collection. I honestly don't mind the plus subscription. I have one already and it's paid for itself well over 5 times. I have so many games I would never have considered trying that I love and many that I wanted, waited to come out on Plus and realised that I'd have been disappointed to waste money on it. Also have a Vita. So much for taking breaks at uni >_>

No one's forcing anyone to buy anything. You have it on PC. Do you honestly need it on PS3/PS4? No. There are pros and cons for buying console and PC versions. As of right now, this is just one of those cons.That's like owning both an Xbox and PS3 and thinking you should get one for free on the other because you own it on one.

Lets just hope servers will be okay by then.

But other than that, even thought I play on PC. I would gladly re-purchase a copy for ps4.

Yeah the beta will be like legacy beta, making sure everything is moved over correctly without flaws, by then we will be getting update 2.2 (2.1 in nov.) Since their goal is to have a major update every 3 months, the chat function will be great. Honestly using the touch pad as a mouse will amazing... much easier to move Windows
